Nice little hotrod, Jonathan...but I to will probably take a chainsaw to the top if I get one of these kits and cut out about two thirds of it! Keep up the great work!!
  2. Carl, This is a GREAT idea!! I really like it!! Send me a PM with Rachel's full name and mailing address. I will gladly donate a couple of built cars! I can also send some kits, if needed! And...good luck getting anyone here to sell you anything for this cause. Most of the folks on this forum won't take money for a great cause like this, but they'll gladly donate practically anything you need. Regards,
  3. Way cool!! To bad all of my $$ is going to college for my boys!!
  4. I just wanted to say thanks for getting the forum back up to speed!! We all took the time to bitch to you about it when it was slow...so now it's time to say thanks for getting it fixed!! While I'm at it, keep up the GREAT work in the magazine and thanks for allowing us the freedom to speak our minds on the forum without locking down or deleting some of the more controversial topics!!
  5. Yep!! Another GREAT build, Dave!!! And, I'm not a NASCAR model car fan, either... This is proof that no matter what the subject matter is, the workmanship and craftsmanship of a well built model can be appreciated by everyone.
  6. Yep...another GREAT build!! Glad to see that you've taken the time to repost your work!!
  7. Same here!!
  8. What??? No engine or chassis pics??? Come on, Jeff...let's get with the program!!!
  9. Yep!! Glad to see that you're reposting some of your older work!! That one makes me want to go buy a mini-milling machine and a really small person to run it!!
  10. Jeff, Glad to see that you're posting some of your older work for the "newbies" and those of us that have seen them before to (re)enjoy!! Thanks for sharing,
  11. Jeff, Glad to see you're back!! Excellent work, as usual!!
  12. That's too funny, Harry!! I think that I'll save myself from the frustration, irritation and anguish by just staying here...besides...I haven't posted there for several months and haven't visited for several weeks...
  13. Yeah...that's one of the old MPC '32 Switchers, repackaged yet again. The other one can be built as a 2 door sedan or a Pheaton. They come with several different build options. It's a pretty crude kit, but it's also makes a pretty good foundation for what you're doing. Keep up the good work!! I'm sure that you'll turn this sow's ear into a pretty cool rod!!
  14. That's looking pretty hot, Mike!! To answer Bernard's question; if you used the kit that I think you used for this one, it's the old MPC Switcher body that was never proportioned right to begin with. The side of the stock body in the kit has an over-exaggerated wedge shape to it. Compare the shape of the door on the model above to the picture of the 1:1 below to see how much it's wedge shaped. Keep up the GREAT work!!
  15. Clay, Actually, that was my bad for getting it started...sorry about that, it must be my senility setting in... Kevin, Good job getting the thread back on track. When you do get the 572, I'm really interested in pics and your impressions of the kit. Later,
  16. Hey Kevin, I'll bet if you sign up for the Marines that we can get you hooked up with Clay's unit!! Now that would make for some interesting conversation on the forum!
  17. Very cool Monte funny car!!
  18. Cool gasser!! Which kit is that from?
  19. The Testors Fabric Tan would look good with your '58.
  20. Very articulate and comprehensive review!! You should be writing kit reviews for MCM/Gregg!! Thanks, and I can't wait to see you build this one!!
  21. Thanks for the links, Bernard!! Those guys are the Bill Geary of dragsters!!
  22. Eric, my man!! The rate that your skills are improving is "2Fast4Me"!! Great job!! The details and the darkening of the panel lines looks great!!
  23. Nice stocker, Steve!! I wish that I could build my first car without have to spend over $100 just for a POS AMT kit from the 60s. Later,
  24. Rollin' Looking good, as always!! I've got to give that flocking stuff a try one of these days. I've been using the sheet material from the local craft store for my carpeting, but it's too thick to do things like door panel trim. Later,
  25. Bill, The latch assembly looks GREAT!! Were you able to make a set of keys to fit it yet?
