  1. Im fairly certain that is true about Everest. I had been mentally planning a few different combinations for a new car and I even started collecting some parts but with our son being ill, Ive shut down any and all plans for the new shop, builds etc
  2. Mine were all a hunt for affordable ones haha It started with the Medicine man kit I found cheap. the others not as cheap but I did find them all unbuilt other than that one motor if I remember right. I hope to build them all in my style.
  3. When we started building one of the cars I was part of, a veteran racer told us to forget everything we know about racing set ups. He was right haha.
  4. it's an amazing build! I'd leave the bumpers the way they are, I don't have a red hat yet but the last car I was a partner in went nearly 190 after I left the team. A red hat is a goal of mine though. Obtaining a red hat is actually harder that most people realize. going over 200 isn't the only requirement.
  5. weight is your friend on the salt. you'll routinely see weight added to cars. If you've ever driven at speed on packed snow, you'll understand this the car floats and you drive with your gas pedal, not necessarily the steering wheel
  6. Awesome build, cant wait to see more! I miss racing on the salt, but I hope to go back one day, my personal goal is 250 mph. my only critiques would be the floors would be bare and the stock seat would not have been allowed, SCTA has been the most strict tech Ive ever gone through with good reason
  7. the hood looks good with the clear coat peel. Id do the roof and trunk as well to make it all cohesive. (THE PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL) Maybe fade the black body moldings as well.
  8. awesome! I dont get around these parts much but Im gonna check back in. I may have to start building another pick up now. sending you a message btw
  9. LOVE IT!!!Had you not started working on it, Id be trying to buy it. Thats exactly the style stuff I build and collect
  10. Cab is definitely Lindberg 32 Ford pick up. Rest of the parts are AMT and MPC as others have stated The lindberg pick up cab represents more of a model a than a 32-34 cab but it makes for a good looking hot rod/custom rod
  11. Motor looks great!!! I finally have all 5 of the corvair powered show rod kits revell did. I do need to find a motor for one of them because mine was not built well.
  12. Rogers work always inspired me as well. His baby blue fridge was one of my favorite builds by him. Although, I dont think there was a build of his I didnt like and take something away from.
  13. KILLER! its giving me 70s era lowrider vibes!
  14. yes I know that. I was wondering where the roof cuts were made to chop it
  15. AWESOME do you happen to have photos of where the chop cars were made by chance?
  16. My stupid phone autocorrected Mikes last name to Lang. Wish I caught it earlier
  17. oh I know who you are haha we've spoken on IG Last time was in August or so when Mike Jang passed away
  18. AWESOME BUILD!!!! Chris is a good friend of mine, and his talent still amazes me after years of friendship. Hes a builder as well!
  19. here's my 40 delivery I'm building as a custom shop truck. My idea behind it is to display it with an early land speed car. The custom would be the push truck, tow rig, garage and sleeping area etc still deciding if I want to do full fadeaways on it or not
  20. thank you everyone. Its been devastating to say the least but were thankful for the teams of drs both here in CT and in Philadelphia. Taking it one day at a time and making memories as we can.
