Getting some of the pinstriping done taking my time as i go.

In our contest to be an out of Box build it has to have the instructions with the kit. So if someone would bring the 49 Merc in to be entered and did not have the instructions with them It would be entered in the Customs Class or Street machine Class No matter if it had extra details addedor not. They could also enter it in the Misc. Class as well.

Seems like once i sign on i am always on even when i am not home . I usually check the place out everytime I set down on the computer

I like ModelMasters Black Chrome It has a semi gloss finiish to it. If i don't have that then I use Testors Flat black and after the paint is dry I then rub my figer on the side of my nose then rub the black paint, The oil you get from rubbing your nose gives the paint a nice semi gloss look.

Well I got the interior done

I have met quite a few Sprint Cup drivers when it was still Winston cup. We had a Road course track open up in Topeka Kansas and the winston cup guys would come and race there, Sat down and talked with Kenny Schrder and Dale Earnhardt one year A couple years later my neighbor says Lets' go to the truck races I can get you into the pits. So I say sure lets go thinkingwe would just be able to get to look at the pit area. No when we got there we wentto the pit area and he tells a guy that is walking in that he wanted to talk to one of his crew. So while we are standing there a guy walks up and starts talking to me neighbor the next thing I know the security openes up the gate and says come on in. We go in and the guy my neighbor was talking to was the tire changer For the Spears racing truck the driver was Bill Sedgwick that mey neighbor used to be a crew member for in Cali on his dirt track car. They gave us uniforms and we helped them work on the truck as well. While in the pit Darrel Waltrip, Rick hendrick . Ernie Irvan and and few other drivers came in. Wished I would hacve had a Camera that day. Got to spend the race in the pits with headphones to hear waht was going on. Even helped change tires on the truck during the race. I Have John Forces autogragh and a few others. Met Mark Martin as well. Most of all these people were met in the late 90's Have also met few other drivers as well from the Nhra but I have bored you guys to death right now.

Met Morgan Brittney from the show dallas last year as well. Also have met Joyce Dewitt from 3 Company and Paul LaMont from American Graffitti fame.Have also sat down and ate dinner and drank a few few beers with Stella Stevens she was a Playboy Bunny center fold and also strred in Girl Girls Girls with Elvis Presley.

I met and talked with Dennis Gage last year at the KKOA. I also set down every year and talk to John D'Agostino for 2 or 3 hours. I also set down every year with Gene Winfield and Bill Hines and chat about everything. I only have the picture of me Nad Dennis Gage. and some singles of John. Darrel Starbird Is also at the show as well but to me he is not as friendly as the rest. I have Met Gregg many years ago as we stayed at the same house in Kansas City for the KC Slammers show but haven't been able to go to that show in years. George Barris is there every year as well

i just use elmers glue. I have used clear paint as well but went back to Elmers. Just don't like the paint metod. Never tried the Testors stuff

Well I got the design done and painted on mine. Just need to wait for the paint to dry and then pinstripe the scallops.

Harry I think this thread should be locked! The Dr. Here used the F word [finished]!! LOL I don't know what it is like to actually finish a model been almost a year since i have but i am getting my hudson Hornet close though.

Isn't hard working around that cow!! Thinking it woulbe easier to just wear clothes!LOL

In the Summer i whear sleeppnts and an old tshirt in the winter i wear sweats and a old tshirt. Don't think i could wear those adult size onsies like that. fter seeing you in them it may take me a while to get back to my bench as that really made them burn!!!!1

Chuck i thought aout both of those but I had this Revell 59 Caddy engine i wasn't going to use in the kit so I went with it.

Think i will go with these air filters on the carb set up

daughter got me a subscription for Christmas present got my issue this week. I guess she got tired of picking it up for me everytime the new issue came out.
