Myself like seeing the same subjest come up at different times. Gives the new people on here a chance to chime in and maybe a new persprctive on rge subject. I myself will never be called a pro as I neverwill be able to build something that good. It does make me try and improve on all my models though.

Okay while waiting on parts and paint to dry on the Black 49 Merc . I have been working on the Buick. Got the front grill area roughed in and trying to make the hood wider in the front. Also have some of the side body work getting done and the rearend of the car a well. The Bumpers will be scratch built when I get the body mods done.

Masking tape i drew the flames on the tape then cut them out with an exacto knife

Okay while I have been waiting on body work to set up and some parts for my 47 Buick project to come in I started another 49 Merc. Added some red pearl fghost flames and some red pearl Have the Interior done

Just read on Facebook That Revell USA will not be at iHobby Expo but have big plans and new tooling willbe announced next month.

I have over 100 bottles of the HOK paint from Black Gold and maybe about 100 different kinds of spray paint from Duplicolorand Testors. Have 20 or so bottles of Plastic kote Touchup paints and probably over 200 bottles of different kinds of Modelmaster and testors paints.

That is weird as I have some that I have had over 10 years and is still good.

To me I don't care what scale it is if I like the Subject I buy the kit. If I do kit bash though I try to keep the same scales together.

Everything that has is cool except for the powerplant. Needs a Plathead in it to be purfect!!

Well i think I went Crazy here. Was at a car show last month and saw a neat looking 47 Buick Custom so i decided to try and do a Model of it. This started out as a Galaxie 46 Chevy Fleetline.

That is the best Pinsstriping and sign painting paint out there as far as I am concerned. Most Professional Pinstripers use this paint

-Well I did build them when i was 17 but cars girls parties and work got in the way. Then in the90 's I was really hooked on NASCAR and I discovered NASCAR models in KMART one day and that is when i started building them during a race. Then when i discover Scale Auto and Car modeler mags . That is when i figured ut other adults were building models as well. I also discovered model car conets from these mags and started going to some local one and was blown away. I joined a local club and the rest is history. Haven't built a NASCAR model though in over 10 years and have a collection of over 200 of those that just set around . Going to start selling themas I will never get to build all of them as I have over 60 dale Earnhardt paint schemes to do and probably over 30 Junior ones to build.

Well My oldest went off to college 6 years ago and after 2 years of it she decided it wasn't for her. She then met a guy that she moved in with 3 years ago. Hardiy ever see her as she does live 8 hours away from us. My youngest Graduates from college this december and then has 3 more years to get another degreee in Physical Thereapy field. Hardy ever see her as well as she works 2 to 3 jobs plus goes to school. . I guess it really never bothered me when they left as they were never home during their High school years.

MY kids would say my best stuff I cook would be Spagetti with a meet sauce or my sweet and sour chicken. I can make just about anuthing as long as i have the ingredienrs. as i can make gooey cinnamon rolls to a smoked turkey . My wife a;ways complains about me being able to go into the kitchen and being able tojust throw something togetjer and it always comes out good. She can't do that as she needs a recipe to follow. By the wayeverthing tastes better when made from scratch..

That is actually wax that I didn't get wiped off that is showing up.

Got my $9 Merc finished last Night after repainting 3 different bodies I am glad it is done. The Chrome trim was Made from plastic and then BMF was put on it. Already have some plans on doing another one.

Got the Engine in the Chassis and the body on . Got all the details hooked up. Next pictures should be In under Glass.

Got the Body closer to being done. I made the chrome strip out of some flat plastic and quarter round then put Bar metal foil on them and then glued them tothe body.

Yes Terry that is probably the best progrm to use to resize pics. Been using that one for well over 10 years myself. Been setting my Camera for smaller pics though now so haven't used it in awhile

I thought it was a neat idea as the car was going to be crushed anyways and it is being used to help their agents todetermine what the difference is beyween a horod and a stock car
