  1. Original mock up had the kits pro street tires. While it looks cool it wasn’t the pro touring look I’m going for so I ordered a set of wheels from Jays Resins. I think these look better for the look I’m trying to achieve.
  2. ‘67 Revell Chevelle lowered.
  3. I’ve seen those Ice Man engines. Texas 3D Customs has some really nice engines too but they’re pricey Thinking about blacking out everything. Trim. Grill. Bumpers. Wheels. Everith. Black black and more black. Yeah Deep Maroon would be sweet but I’m really leaning towards black. Thinking maybe Satin Black for the body and Gloss Black for everything else.
  4. Bought this kit to use along with a few others when I built my 55 Chevy Two Lane Blacktop car. Planning on building it more pro touring rather than pro street. I was thinking about buying an engine and other parts online but I’m going to try and use what I have laying around instead. Would really love to put a nice printed LS in it and I might have to buy wider front tires. First thing was to drop the whole car especially the rear. Still not sure about the color. Thinking about murdering it out.
  5. That’s looking really good. You’re doing a real nice job onnit. I think I’m going to pick this kit up and drop it in the weeds. It would look great slammed.
  6. Thanks Robert. Yeah they don’t have much of a selection but at 40% off the price is right. Funny but to me this topic doesn’t fit in any category listed. Don’t get me started on the horrible search engine .
  7. Grill is done. Did I mention how much I love this kit? What a difference when people who care make model kits instead of bean counters
  8. Thak you Dan. Mike They have that texture molded into them. I think I mixed Tamiya Flat brown and Metallic Grey for the color. It is a very nice kit.
  9. Nice. I, like you have a spot in my heart that is near and dear to this body style. I’ve had two ‘71 Mach 1’s in the past and have been longing for another for many years. They are my favorite Mustang.
  10. Maybe because I wasn’t sure where to put it. Sorry for causing such an issue. ?
  11. Well as most of you probably know every now and then Hobby Lobby has a 40% sale on boxed model kits. Any time I’m in the area I check in to see if I can catch it. Last night I picked up these: $19.79 for the Boss $17.99 for the Vette
  12. Started on the body. Scribed the panel lines and sanded. Airbrushed a 1:1 mix of Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 Pink and Mr Color Thinner. First time using MR Hobby products and I am very happy so far.
  13. I’ve been waiting for you to do another build with great anticipation. Looks fantastic so far. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Test fitting the body to check the stance. I think it sits pretty good.
  15. Chassis is done. This kit has been a pleasure to build so far. Wish they were all like this.
  16. A few more. Getting ready to assemble the chassis.
  17. Very nice interior. Looking forward to more.
  18. Did you check the jets??
  19. Nice flames. This was one of the kits I used for my 55 TLB build.
  20. It’s coming along. Teaser.
  21. Beautiful build Chris. Looks like it’s ready to roll out onto the grid. One question. Was there an issue with the windscreen? I didn’t read through all of the posts so excuse me if I missed it. Really love these MFH kits and am planning on getting my hands on one in the future.
  22. Thanks all. Appreciate the comments. Some shots of the interior completed.
  23. You ain’t kidding about alot of decals. Coming along real nice. Clears going to make it pop.
  24. Models coming along nice. When I want to touch up a spot I mess up were I used a rattle can I spray a little on a folded piece of aluminum foil and use a fine point brush to lightly touch it up.
  25. Looking good. I’ve been wanting to try and do a vinyl top. Yours looks real nice.
