Cool build. I’d say you nailed it.

Finished up my build of the Revell 71 Hemi Cuda. Built pretty much out of box except for the antenna. Hood pin straps, and headlight trim rings to close of the big gap between the headlights. Also added a transmission tunnel since it was missing. Just glued a piece of styrene and smoothed with putty. I molded in the joint lines for the lower front fenders and removed the cartoonish stalks on the fog lights. Also removed the front license plate bracket. I dowloaded and printed a set of steelies and Goodyear Polyglas GT tires and wheels for $3.50. Color is Dupli-Color BGM0533. It’s a GM color but I felt it mached B5 closest. I test shot Dupli-Color BCC0422 which is a Chrysler color that supposedly matches B5 but it was too dark. Also tried Tamiya TS-19 but that was also too dark. Cleared with Dupli-Color 1K Clear. Polished with Hasegawa Ceramic Compound then Coating Polymer. Chrome is Alclad Polished Aluminum. Hope you like it.

Sharp looking TA. Looks good with the screaming chicken. Is this 1/16 scale? Looks bigger than 1/24.

Very true. Nothing but support and encouragement here. I’m my own worst critic. As for my next build. Hint: It’s named after a fish and powered by an elephant.

Mostly as they say “ the error was between the seat and the keyboard “. The kit is very nice. I just kept screwing things up. One thing I’ll do if I try another one is to glue the nose to the body before I paint it. Other than that just bleed through on my masking.

Yep. While it didn’t turn out horribly it’s not what I was trying to achieve. I guess that’s what happens when you’re inspired by some of the incredible builds on this site.

Thank you Bill.

Thanks guys. Looks better on my phone than it did on my laptop. Appreciate the compliments.

This one fought me all the way. It was 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Just when I thought I was doing a good job I screwed something else up. It’s out of box with the front grill opened up and the louvers thinned. Also added door locks and adjusting bolts on the spoiler pedestals. I’m considering doing another one with the lessons learned. Not happy with the way it turned out but I figured I’d post some pics anyway.

MFH was the first one I thought of too but searches found nothing that mentioned the syringe to put air in the tires. That’s the main thing that I think differentiates this from the common large scale kits.

Getting an oil change this morning for the wife’s Volvo and saw this model display. Looks to be around 1/16 scale I think a model kit with an actual subframe structure would be very cool. Wish someone would produce one. Maybe something out there I could print. This would be perfect since I can’t print full size bodies. Build plates too small.

Hi All In the 80’s I bought a 1/12 scale F1 kit for around $125.00. This was a multi media kit with what I think was resin, white metal parts, wires and hoses and I think some photo etch. I don’t remember which company made the kit or what car it was. I think maybe a Lotus. I didn’t have the skill back then to complete such a build so it disappeared into the anals of neglect. Long gone but always on my mind. The one thing I do remember with 100% certainty is the kit supplied a hypodermic needle to inflate the soft rubber tires. I’ve searched the web for years and have never got a hit. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

I’ve got a 2023 Scat Pack with a 6 speed. Not the best handling car but it goes and its comfortable.

Nice looking Matador. Now build a red AMC Hornet and you’ll have the Bond cars from The Man with the Golden Gun.

I know how it feels to resurrect a stalled project. Fulfilling when its done. Nice job on this F40. That blue over chrome looks sharp. I also liked the chrome look. I think I see a Cobra in chrome in my future.

Looks good. I’ve got this in my stash. My son gave it to me for Christmas. I watched this show as a kid in the 60’s.

Another gorgeous build. Your work is so clean and realistic looking. Beautiful.
