  1. A few more with the dashboard completed. Not as clean looking as I’d like but I think it’ll do.
  2. Working on the interior. Still have to do the dashboard then assemble everything.
  3. Carpeting done.
  4. Used Alclad Stainless Steel for the gas tank and exhaust system.
  5. Thanks guys. Motor pretty much done. Just have to figure out what I’m going to do for an air filter.
  6. My daughter gave me this kit for Christmas. It’s a 2in 1 but I’m going to combine aspects of both versions. Going to do a stock 426 Hemi car with the dog dish hubcaps. Starting with the engine. Oh yeah. Going black with red bumblebee stripes.
  7. Thank you and thanks to all the kind comments.
  8. You’re spot on with that comment. I remember seeing these drive past me new when I was 11 years old. Story was they sat on dealers lots and they couldn’t give them away. People thought they were ugly but to an 11 year old I thought they were the coolest thing I ever saw. Kudos to your friend.
  9. As others have said that is a beautiful build of an iconic car. Very well done!
  10. Very nice Camaro Mike. Especially like the interior and chassis. Love the headers and chambered exhaust.

    66 Riviera

Nice looking Riviera. I like the early 70s boat tail style ones but those are a close second. That’s excellent that it was a father and son project. Your son did a good job with the BMF. That’s not easy to apply.
  12. Nope. Out of box build. *edited-forgot to mention I stripped the chrome plated exhaust system, tips and rear bumper and airbrushed with Alclad Chrome.
  13. You mean like this: Thats my Williams I built a few years ago.
  14. Thanks everyone. Pales in comparison to E30lovers build but I’m happy with it. Realized I forgot to install the side view mirrors. Will get some pictures up when that’s done. They’re turning out to be the hardest part of this build.
  15. Posted build in WIP.
  16. Exhaust tips and nose installed. Will post some pics in Under Glass
  17. Some more progress shots. BMF’d the window trim and installed the glass and interior. Also drilled out the air cleaner snorkles. I definitely could have done a better job on the body paint job but like I said in my first post I’m building these smaller scale models to get back in the groove to complete a 1/12 scale F1 car I started a few years ago. That one is the Tamiya M23 with the 1976 conversion kit.
  18. Thanks Mike. Nice screen name! Is that for the car or the series?
  19. Thank you. Yes Alclad gloss black base and chrome.
  20. Hello. Thank you. Yes. I spayed a light coat of clear then airbrushed the blue over the decals after masking the surrounding area.
  21. Getting close to finishing this one. The blue on the decals was to dark for me so I mixed some Tamiya Blue and Chrome Silver and airbrushed over them. While it’s not perfect it’s better then it was and it’s good enough for me.
  22. Thanks for the reply. I’ll check the General Discussion’s section.
  23. I’m looking at the Mars 3 Pro but I’m worried that it’s too small for larger parts. Any other recommendations for a good budget entry level printer?
