  1. Got it. That is a gorgeous model. I was hoping you just didn’t post them and would. Your engines and interiors are amazing.
  2. Very nice clean build. Beautiful paint. Bravo.
  3. Thank you Rich. It was a labor of love. One of my favorite movies.
  4. Thank you for the replies. Yeah I get the comments about the carburetors and the tires. Hard to tell exactly which carb the car in the movie had. I think they were HOLLEY 4491’s.The picture I found on eBay seems like a close match to the screen grab from the movie The pie crust tires are wrong for the movie car but they look cool. Movie car had Firestones and they were wider. I might revise in the future.
  5. Thank you. Appreciate it. First time kit bashing. I’m happy with the result. Thank you very much.
  6. Beautiful. Your builds are amazing. Would love to see shots of the engine and interior. Thank you for sharing.
  7. Cool build and excellent presentation. Keep it up.
  8. Ladies and Gentlemen I’d like to present my Two Lane Blacktop 55 Chevy. WIP Thread here:
  9. Installed the tilt nose. I tried to copy the actual car as best I could. Pictures posted in Under Glass.
  10. Hahahahahaaaahaaaa. Come on man. You know why I can’t.
  11. Thank you. I did the best I could with solder. I think they look okay.
  12. Thanks. I’d like to do The Judge at least.
  13. Daisy mags painted and radiator installed. Also did the gas filler cap in the trunk.
  14. She’s coming together. Slowly but surely. Hope to have it done soon.
  15. Installed the glass with working sliding side windows.
  16. I bought a printed set online. Not exact copies of the ones in the movie but close. I’ll definitely check Hobby Lobby if I’m near there.
  17. Between family and work this build stalled a little but I managed to get some more done. Since I don’t have a printer yet I had to use solder to make the headers. I’m pretty happy with the way they came out. First I super glued 4 long pieces together to form the collector then I bent each individual runner to try and match my reference pictures. The header flange is cut from a piece of styrene sheet. Then I cut the 4 long pieces to the correct length and used a piece of heat shrink tubing for the collectors with another piece of sheet styrene as the flange. Sprayed with Tamiya white primer when done
  18. Thank You. Really appreciate the detailed reply. I work with AutoCAD so I think I’ll be able to figure it all out. Will definitely use your reply as a starting point along with research on the interweb. ?
  19. Thanks for the reply. They seem to be reasonably priced on Amazon. There are a couple of different versions of the Mars 4 Ultra. How’s the software that comes with the printer? I see you mentioned Blender. Is that the only software you use? Sorry for hijacking the thread and all the questions but I’m seriously digging the results and think I’m going to pull the trigger on one.
  20. That’s insane. Those parts look great. You’re doing and excellent job on this build. I gotta get me a printer. ? Speaking of printers. Can you share your printer information? Make, model etc… Looks like you’ve got a nice setup that prints fine details.
  21. Nice build of one of my favorite early exotics. Shame about the glass. You handled it well. I did the same thing when I built my 1/12 scale Lauda 312T. After all the work I put into detailing it I couldn’t live with the kits thick windscreen so I sanded it down with a furniture polishing kit that goes up to 12000 grit and polished it.
  22. Interior is pretty much done. Still have to install the tach on top of the dashboard. I shaped a piece of sheet styrene to the curve of the transmission tunnel and used a blob of Tamiya putty as the shifter boot. After it dried I filed, sanded and painted it flat black. The shifter is a piece of aluminum tube flattened and bent.
  23. Thanks guys. Really appreciate the compliment’s. Took care of the hood pins for the trunk lid. The pins that secure the hood are going to be tricky.
  24. That is exceptional. Really beautiful build. I really have to get on of those MFH kits. Thank you for sharing.
  25. Also made the structure for the tilt front . I tried to mimic the actual support frame from pictures I found online.
