    Renault 4L

Superb build, I've just spent a week in Ibiza, Spain, Renault 4's were everywhere still being used as daily drivers
  2. After working away from home and a recent vacation I've missed a lot of posts, including this one, I'm so sorry to hear this sad news Harry, and I'm sure with the correct medication and a strong will, you can beat this and be back living a normal life as soon as possible, stay strong my friend .....
  3. I had to have an MRI a few years ago, apparently I'm the only patient they've even had that fell asleep while having the scan, they stopped the scan half way through, as they detected my heart rate and breathing were slowing down, after they found out I was OK, they carried on with the scan ....
  4. Finally got this one finished this morning, after building three different Trabant's, I'm going to have a break from them, and probably won't be going back in the hobby room for a while, as I'm just too busy with my photography It was painted in genuine Trabant Glacier blue, not the best paint I've ever worked with, but at least it authentic to the original 1:1
  5. Superb build ....
  6. Good luck with your operation, a good friend of mine had to have the same problem last year, and he is perfectly fine now, think positive ......
  7. Front & rear bumpers finished, the reflectors of the spot & fog lamps were covered in BMF to replicate the chrome reflectors, the left hand rear fog lamp looks like it is cracked in half, it isn't, it's just the way it was molded.
  8. Sure, I used all Revell enamels thinned for airbrushing, Satin Wood Brown (RAL 8001) for the door cards and seat backs & sides, Revell Satin # 381 for the seat faces (Front & Rear) and Matt # 88 for the floor and rear parcel shelf, before the flocking was applied.
  9. After sitting on the computer editing photo's for what seemed like a lifetime, this morning I actually managed to get into the hobby room, (To take a break from work) although not a lot of work got done, but the front & rear bumpers were masked up and airbrushed the satin black parts
  10. Have a look at these two sites, you should be able to find what you need http://www.kitformservices.com/ http://www.mgmouldings.co.uk/about.htm

  13. Absolutely beautiful work, I'll start mine when I find my brave pills .....
  14. Looking forward to seeing the WIP on both of these Harry, very interesting subjects, and I'm sure you'll work your magic on them .....
  15. Superb builds, I have quite a few of the Ebbro R4's to build, if only I could find the time to get back into my hobby room ...

  17. Very nice build Shay, about time you finished it, what happened to the wheelie bin ??
  18. Now that is superb build .....
  19. Interesting ......
  20. same here, I once owned 2 Daf 44's, and it was the wheels and hubcaps that gaveit away as a Daf, although i had seen photos of this car before, a little time on Google got me the answer
  21. I wasn't a fan of the Trabant until I was asked to photograph an International Trabant meeting back in the late 90's, although it was work, I did have a great day and was made so welcome by all the Trabant owners, I knew I just had to make a model of one, I was so happy when Revell released this model, but I must admit, I didn't think I would make so many of them, and now I have just taken on another Commision from a Trabant owner in Kentucky.
  22. Black wash added to the C Pillar vents and fixed into place with 90 second epoxy Black wash added to rear light lenses
  23. Although they were originally built for the GDR Border guards, they were later on made available for civilian use, the bodywork past the A pillar are windscreen would have to be scratchbuilt, shouldn't be too hard as all the panels are completely flat, I have plenty of close up photo's of all the Trabants, if you need any of them, just send me a PM Here's the Blueprint of the Kublewagen
