  6. LOL, just yanking your chain Jim.? I have the Monogram ‘55 kit as well. Maybe I’ll do both the ‘55 and ‘57 convertibles in one thread when I get motivated.?
  7. Area 51 would be an interesting place to visit.
  8. Careful scraping, filing and sanding should do the trick. You may need to add some filler if there are low spots. I would recommend Fine White Milliput or sprue glue for any major filler work. Post a picture of the area to give us a better idea of what you’re up against.
  9. Is this the stuff you’re talking about? Will it really adhere to any paint? https://www.c1-models.com/c1-metalizer
  10. The Revell kit is 1/25 scale, the AMT has no scale indicated on the box. The built up Monogram kit is 1/24 scale.
  11. I have an AMT kit that has the bumper, grill, emblem/signal bar and hood trim as four separate pieces. The grill itself is not chrome. I also have the Revell convertible kit that has the hood trim separate. The AMT chrome is not shiny, looks more like aluminum.?

  14. Great job on that molding Mike.? No way could that original molding be made to look good!?
  15. For once, I’ve finally got the last word.
  16. The dent and scratches should have been fixed before painting. What kind of paint is it? Did you use a primer? Primer usually reveals that sort of stuff along with any faint mold lines that need to be addressed. You could possibly use filler putty to do a spot repair and repaint just the hood. I haven’t done a spot repair after paint myself, so I might just strip the entire thing. Someone else may have more experience with repairs.
  17. Town cars are not easy to parallel park.
  18. More and more model kits is a good thing…right?
  19. Eons ago the most popular form of transportation was your feet.
