  1. Did you ever finish this one Tom? I just picked up a complete kit for $15 at a flea market.?
  2. Oops, can’t read the box in the photo.? It is a Fujimi Toyota Sports 800. I didn’t know of the cars existence till today. And it looks to be complete and unstarted except for a couple parts taken off the trees.? Cool little video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQiybrmwHyA Here it is next to a Mazda MX-5. They are both 1/24 scale.
  3. Buy some more model kits the wife said to me in my dream.
  4. Picked this up at a local flea market today.
  5. Outstanding work Phil. ??
  6. Very nice.?
  7. That is one beautiful looking ‘34 Ford Lee!? Well done.?
  8. My all time favourite movie!?
  9. Toilet humour stinks.
  10. Waitresses who put on a quart of perfume before going to work. We went out for supper with a couple of friends last night and the wife (who has allergies) had to plug her nose every time one waitress walked by. This also applies to anyone anywhere who thinks they need to bathe in the stuff. Do they really stink that bad??
  11. Yes, I get them at Staples. They are available in many different grades too. Very soft pencils for drawing (12B–3B) Pencils in classic hardness grades for writing and sketching (2B, B, HB, H, 2H) Very hard pencils for technical drawing and cartography (3H - 10H) Much better than a standard HB (soft) pencil. A good quality sharpener is also a worthwhile investment. https://www.staedtler.com/ca/en/products/pencils-and-accessories/graphite-pencils/
  12. I also cast a couple sizes of disc brake rotors that I can drill to slide over the evergreen stub that I mount to the wheels.
  13. Here’s a couple of ways to find the center of a wheel. 1) A center finder attachment for a combination square. 2) Find something close to half the diameter and mark the wheel four times to get double crosshairs straddling the exact center. Both can be done with or without the tire mounted.
  14. Spheres, when you need one, are never around.
  15. Classy looking rig Tom!??
  16. Beautiful work Scott.? I like everything about it.?
  17. That would likely work, but it needs a lot of work to blend into the kit it was designed for, and it still looks like a cramped cab space. I considered extending it and adding a rear quarter window, but that would seriously shorten the box and make it look odd. I like Jims approach, and with the fins on a ‘57 it shouldn’t make the box look short. It’s just a matter of blending it in nicely.
  18. Career choices should be carefully considered.
  19. That is one slick looking Toronado Claude!? The wheels and that color look great on it.?
  20. It looks great Uwe!? I too have this kit…thanks for the tip about the decals.?
  21. Cool project Jim!??? I will definitely follow along.? And the ‘57 is my least favourite tri-five Chevy too.
  22. I tried googling this transmission every which way I could think of and be darned if I could find a picture of the relevant item. I did somewhere read that air cooled transmissions were used behind 6 cylinder engines and liquid cooled behind V8s. How accurate that is I don’t know.?‍♂️
  23. I really like those colors on it Jeremy!? ‘56 is my favourite of the tri-five Chevys.?
  24. Nice clean little hot rod! ??
