The camera sure doesn’t do this paint job any justice.? Although I didn’t polish the Mr. hobby clear, it does look decently smooth to the naked eye, and doesn’t really have that pebbled look.? And a couple of gratuitous shots of my other 232’s.

Thank You all Fellas.? Keith, the wheels are from Scenes Unlimited. Unfortunately, I don’t think they are in business anymore.?

This is the Revell kit. Chopped, channeled, tubbed, motor swap, and a few other changes.? The engine is from a Polar Lights Torino. Rear tires are from the AMT Chevelle. Scratch built differential, mirrors, headlight mounts and injection system. Paint is Tamiya Light Gunmetal. Thanks for looking.? 71 Olds 442 W30 (replica of my brother in law’s car)
NOBLNG replied to Steve H's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Beautiful work as always Steve!? Your full detail builds and your attention to detail always impresses me.? -
I screwed up in my assembly order.? There is no way the body shell was going to sit down easily on the fenders without being firmly held in place. So I had to disassemble it enough to get two of the screws back in place.? It all went pretty well, and I was able to break the CA joints without damage to anything but the paint...and the driveshaft.? Then I used copious amounts of epoxy to hold the front of the cab down.? I pity anyone who tries to rebuild one of my models.? But I got it back together, and now it’s just a matter of adding the door handles and a few details. Thanks for looking.?

Today the wife and I went to the driving range and she wound up buying a left handed putter.

Dennis, do you have any of those Infini sanding sponge sticks from Hobby Sense? They curve beautifully for areas like that.?

Expanding your modeling skills is a worthwhile endeavour.

Box stock model builds are quite rare.

Finally got the suspension all installed. Once I get the glass in the cab, the body can go on permanent.?
