Hey Randy. I'm finding Facebook Marketplace is as crazy as Craig's list. I might just leave them in the basement and let someone else worry about them when I'm gone.LOL. I had an experience with Ebay from a bad seller. I had purchased the same item twice over the years. Dishwasher racks. The first one was just as described. New in the box. 2 years later I had to replace it as my water is horrible and it was getting rusty. So I buy another from the same seller. When I got it, I opened the box and found a broken wheel. Several cuts into the vinyl. The sides were bowed in. So I complained to them and ended up having PayPal step in. Their responses were I did the damage myself because I didn't want it after I bought it. Nonsense. PayPal got all my money back. Never bought from them again. Now to their defense they might not have known what was in the box as my sister has been in their store in Syracuse and they get pallets of items at auctions that were returned items.

I know they aren't worth much and time to let go. I'm going to try Facebook Marketplace to see how that goes thinking if someone was close enough to pick them up. They might sell. I've never delved into Ebay as I know people who have and they've gotten burnt. Honest people burnt by dishonest buyers. I was thinking about putting some old kits I have. 61 and 62 Lincolns. 67,68,69 Chevys, on ebay as they seem to bring good money.

Wow. That is beautiful. -
I found another place called MK Modelcar Parts. The prices are good. I’m just having a hard time with their website placing the order.

Patrick. I didn’t allow my brothers and sisters to even look at my matchbox cars. If they did they got the evil eye. They only got into the models after I left at 16. My one brother trade my Pramda Buick for a GI Joe during that time period. I childhood friend gave me the Buick. I felt bad not knowing where it ever went. No one confessed to where it went until about 10 years ago.

I just checked Ebay and you are right. Zero. They don't sell. I'll try Facebook Marketplace to see if I can get rid of them for something. If not then I'll leave them in the basement.

Six Signature. And a few Johnny Lightning. Some HO scale. Off brands. Never played with. Is this where I could post them to trade here?

Is this where you would trade die cast cars? I have a few I'd like to get rid of.

Micheal. I do have to find a few things like the boat for the trailer. The tvs and ladder for the tv van. The roof rack and boat for the Corsa. The hunter and dogs for the Studebaker station wagon. Tires for my Dinkys and Corgis. I'll check on line. And I would like to try and repaint a couple. Any hints with die cast as far as stripping and repainting? Mark Orr. So sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what that is like.

My dad left when I was in 3rd grade so we grew up with just our mom for most of our preteen years. We had no money. So we were taught to cherish what we got as gifts. The Dinky tractor trailer has a note written on the box from Santa to me. It was a special gift from Santa for helping my mom. Then she remarried when I was 13. Big mistake. A sicko. I moved out when I was 16 just to get away from him. Held 2 jobs. Had a studio apartment. And attended and graduated high school.. Moved back home after my step dad left to help my mom with money at 19. My matchbox cars were my escape from our family life as a kid. Now back to building models. Keeps me busy for sure. Lol

I lived in Gloversville as a child and have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My younger brothers blew up my model cars but my mom kept a sharp eye on my matchbox, dinky and corgi cars. I use to wax them with car wax. Going through them today I noticed I did a little embellishing such as tail lights, head lights and bumpers. Does that reduce the value? Maybe. And I wrote the number of the car and what car on the top of each box so I didn’t want to keep pulling them out to know what one was. Thing is I have no children. So they will most likely be sold when I’m gone.
