  1. I actually owned a 67 firebird with the overhead cam 6 with a 4 barrel card and a split exhaust manifold. That thing could really move for a 6 cylinder.
  2. And that is another great haul. A lot of people made out this week.
  3. I agree with you Joe. If you wait one will eventually come along. And the Mercedes 500K is nice. I have one on the shelf.
  4. What I got today. The blue fan, Omni directional antenna, sprayer, and the Edsel, Henry J, Pontiac Catalina, 1953 Chevrolet, and T-bird models all for $40 at an estate sale. The plastic colored bladed fans are almost as good as a metal bladed fan. And much better than what you can buy in stores now. The blade are kind of transparent when they are going which is cool and they are really quiet. I have several of those fans but not one that big. The Charger I got with a 50% off coupon at Micheal's. And the Packard and Firebird at a flea market.
  5. That is some haul! You do have to treat your self once in a while right?
  6. Now you just rub a dryer sheet on the paint to make it shiny and smooth again?
  7. Great call on the color. Matches perfectly.
  8. I have a couple of these to do and I'll be looking yours over closely. Not that mine will be this great. LOL
  9. Most people don't know her but Kylie Minogue. She is like a fine wine that gets prettier as she ages. Still hot at 50.
  10. That is really nice.
  11. I agree. It does look like the real deal.
  12. Yes. I think they stopped selling them because of the glue and paint fume issues.
  13. I haven’t taken it out of the package yet but looks so so. It will need some help as they’ve been around for a while. Paint ages and I’m sure the company wasn’t concerned about that. The Proshop Edsel has the best paint so far for me. But I have two Proshop Chryslers and will have to check them out.
  14. I’ve used the scotch bright pads after soaking models that needed purple power. Helps clean off the old paint but the body ended up being pretty well set afterwards for primer.
  15. I have the Mercedes and it’s a really nice kit. And looks great on the shelf.
  16. I have the green and maroon 62’s. I’ll be doing them soon.
  17. Yes Snake. I love these kits because i’m Fairly good with glueing. But Silver trim? Not so much. Lol
  18. I will post but I’m not a pro builder. That’s why I love these kit. I bought a second Edsel at an estate sale to rebuild even though I already have one built. Odd thing with the one a bought is whoever built it. Used some kind of glue that was like a stretchy glue. Don’t know what they used. Most of the Edsel parts either just fell apart or had that streatchy glue. Elmers maybe?
  19. Me too because I don’t have the steady hand I did when I was young. I have two models i’m Working on and have repainted sections because of trying to paint the silver trim. Ugh!
  20. Really nice.
  21. Just picked up this 1957 Chevy ProShop kit. Also bottles of Testors flat gray and gloss wood paints along with a Testors red gloss paint pen.
  22. There was a Hobbytown in Colonie, NY but that closed about a year or so ago. I use to buy there but obviously business wasn’t good enough to keep it open. Sad really. You could buy white wall tires and anything else there. When I was a kid just about every kit camE with white walls. If you didn’t want them. You used the reverse side.
  23. This is good to know because I have quite a few old decals that look kind of brittle.
