  1. Nice,
  2. Great conversation going on here. I've learned a lot. And since I plan to build most of my kits. I should open those. Thanks for the input. It's always appreciated.
  3. I've never seen tire burn before. I better check and make sure my kits have the tires in baggies or something.
  4. Thank you Matthew. Anytime you see something new. If you could let me know that would be wonderful.
  5. Ok. Thanks. It was something that I was thinking about.
  6. Matthew. Have to been to Ollies recent? I was going to check them out today. But got to the Fonda Thruway entrance and changed my mind. It's a 45 mile drive for me to get there and I hate getting there only to find out nothing has changed.
  7. I bought some kits a few months back from a guy who bought a huge amount of them. His father asked me why would someone buy a kit. Open it. And never build it. I've thought about that and have an opinion. I've purchased sealed kits and over time. The plastic seal shrunk. Distorting the box. Now. Why would some shrink and others not. And is it a good idea to open the kits for storage?
  8. Yes. I've been there and got what I wanted. 59 Caddy. 49 Mercury woody. 1970 Torino. Volkswagen. 57 Chevy. And I have just about everything else they have that I want at least. Seems the stores have the same models. It's not like I don't have enough kits already. LOL. Micheals had an acrylic paint set on clearance. Was $9 or $10 originally. Clearance at $3.95. And I wish I could buy on line at AC Moore but you can't. Not the models anyhow. It's a 45 mile drive just to see what they have.
  9. I should have been added more to my answer. The 49 fords. The one with the plastic 2 piece tires dosen’t have a scan bar.
  10. OK. Thank you Carl.
  11. I have that die-cast Lamborghini body that I got at the estate sale this past weekend. I don't see a trading section in the die-cast group. Do I list it in the trading section for the plastic models?
  12. It's strange because that kit doesn't have a scan code on it. So I figured it was older.
  13. It's going to look great. Your stuff is on it's way.
  14. I got a 50 percent off coupon for Micheals and so I went. They had 3 kits that you glue together. They haven't restocked anything.
  15. That is beautiful
  16. Coming along nicely.
  17. I just got the 1964 Ford Galaxy model and inside the instructions said Blueprinters. What does that mean? Also I have 2 1949 Ford coupe models. When I looked at them. One had rubber tires and the other had 2 piece plastic tires that you glued together. Is the one with the plastic wheels really old? And would it be wrong form me to post pictures of mainly chrome sprue with parts on them to find out what they went to? I did a search if there was a number on the sprue. And the search always came up with the same model kits. But the parts are indeed different.
  18. Great little fix me ups right? Sometime they are the most fun to do.
  19. That is really nice.
  20. Really nice.

    My models

Holy cow! They are all really nice builds. That VW bus must have been really tricky to do with all the doors.
  22. Like I said before. Really nice. Makes me want to take the one I just did and redo it. Yours is beautiful.
