  1. Just a little quick build….
  2. Unbuilt , box not necessary but complete is important. I’m located in Missouri.
  3. Quick video I made of the show. Over 460 entries in this years gathering.
  4. I’m a sucker for test shots ...
  5. It’s smooth , but has an engraved heel pad . The major differences I noticed so far are a lack of emblems ,door locks, cowl , front bumper mesh ,air cleaner , the side mirror mount is different vs production kit , and the entire body except the tailgate is very rough and not final polished. I believe the brake and clutch pedals are engraved on production kit but haven’t seen enough pics of one to know 100% perhaps you can spot other differences??
  6. Looks like ribbing in the cowling as well.. ?
  7. I have one of the test shots for that kit.. was the production kit made with ribbing on the air filter? I always like comparing and building a matching kit to my test shots, but this one has been eluding me...
  8. Has anyone ever successfully assembled an old AMT semi chassis ??? I don’t think I’ve ever gotten one of the half dozen or so attempts right Over the years ...
  9. What a waste .... the fake Ferrari kit was pure garbage ...
  10. That’s an amazing pic! I have a shop in an old GM plant , and my floor has this spot where the line changes from overhead to floor. So neat to see what it used to be !!
  11. I’ve used a lot of his parts on my builds . Mike makes first rate stuff and stands behind his parts .
  12. My Westinghouse atomic power plant would like to have a conversation with you ..... ???
  13. Axalta gets the clear on point ! Nothing like real automotive products to get that real automotive finish !!
  14. What’s the current lead time ? I really want a postal Jeep in the collection ....
  15. Working on the interior while I wait for the decals to fully dry . The Axalta clear doesn’t like moisture ....
  16. Decals going on .... the microsol is having no effect on them at all . Having a bit of a time getting them to settle down around the seams and locks tightly .
  17. On to the next one ..... pulled this out of the stack .... cleaned up the mold lines , assembled the chassis in prep for black ...
  18. And of course , I open a sealed kit to find missing parts .... anybody got a spindle ? 13L is the one I need ..
  19. Figured the decals have had enough time to set , so it was wel and good to lock them under some Axalta 496 clear coat .... like glass right off the gun ..... only minor polishing will be required ...
  20. If 12 year old me knew what 36 year old me knows now about this kit , I never would have built this kit the first time I owned it .... now I have a chance to get it right... Axalta black basecoat , decals applied with micro set . I bombed the application of the tailgate decal , but somehow I managed to save it with about 20 minutes of unfolding with a blade and lots of water . The decals were barely useable . I’ll let them sit to dry for a day or so and follow up with Nason 496 clear ...
