Real or Model #192 FINISHED!
Green Duster replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
The door lines don't have the right (look) to them. No dark shading in them to be a 1:1. Just my 2 cents worth. You know what they say about opinions. Everybody's got one. Just like something else everyone has! HA. -
Great job. Good tribute to a great car.

What is that guy doing in the last pic? Don't look good! LOL!

Just got a A100 Dodge Van and 64 Plymouth from Jimmy Flintstone. They are both great. Put all my other stuff on the back burner to do the Van. Also got the 71 Dodge Demon from Bandit resin. Kenny the Demon is great. This is the second Demon from him. Got one years ago. Still just as good! Thanks guys. Brian

Green Duster replied to Hedgehog's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My so called hobby store is 60 miles away. The truck gets about 15-16 miles per gallon. I wish i had a local hobby store. The great northwoods. Ha, god forsaken country. -

Hi guys. Sorry no pics for this but I think all of you will be able to figure it out for yourselfs. I wanted something different for the new Gremmy kit. So I took the scooped hood, cut off the scoop. Than I went and cut the center on the stock hood right at the raised portion. Took the ends of that hood and cut thin strips of the ends to use as sides for the cowl. Just enough for about 2-3 inch rise. Trimed and sanded to get the right shape. You can cut to get a pie shape for more of a rise in the back. Now all I have to do is finish shaping to the hood and gluing it down. As the magician says; Viola, one cowl hood for a cool little car. You could do this with just about any hood. Thanks for looking. Brian

For your viewing enjoyment. Found it at a auto swap meet last july. No chassis but everything else. So the first thing that came to mind. Pro/Street. Didn't tell the guy I've always wanted to build one that way. Got it for $20.00 bucks. Here's the end results. Hemi from the parts box. Intake from the 71 Duster street machine. Headers were out of the parts box( possible from 67 GTX kit). Installed racing seats from the parts box. Saved the orignal seats for the 76 Gremlin build. Scoop from 73 roadrunner/GTX kit. Added to the orignal rollcage for a good 6 point cage. The rear axle came from the 70 Coronet pro street kit. The front suspension is fromthe Christine pro mod car. After building it, I should of just used the whole Christine chassis. Color is testors comp orange. Hope you like. Brian

A tip for all AMT Mopar builders
Green Duster replied to oldscool's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I've been a Mopars guy for over 30 years. Thats all I've driven and mostly what I've built in scale. I've noticed that for a long time. I haven't use a instruction sheet for them in a long time. I change the parts around for what I'm building. Alot of times they show the W/W tank on the wrong side too. -
Harbor Freight Score
Green Duster replied to SuperStockAndy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I just picked up one of those magnified holders myself just the other day. Went looking for ratchet straps for my little trailer. Started looking around. Found it for only $3.99. I figured what the heck! I can use it. Not as steedy as I use to be. -
Do You Follow the Instructions?
Green Duster replied to SuperStockAndy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Haven't really gone by the step by step in a long time. Just use it as a guide. I build 99% Mopars. I think by now I should know how they go together. I do to much kit bashing. to really use them.
