    Thanks. I sure like the look of a yellow P-car, but it sucks to paint. Maybe I sould have left it one of the five other colors this body has been. White Body White, Porsche Raspberry (Hot Pink), Porsche Petroleum (a funky dark blue gunmetal metal I just mixed up one day), Porsche Wine (burgundy), and "Kermit" green... Nah, think I will just leave it yellow. 71g doh., I put the front brakes on wrong. fixed now.

  6. Looks good, probably the baddest sports car ever built next to the 956/962. BTW, they didn't finish the interiors with any kind of paint, just left in natural fiberglass. Porsche figured it was was a weight savings so they didn't paint anything unless they had to. In fact, the unrestored "hippy" car is still unfinished in the interior.
  7. these are some good ways to do washes. Personally, I use inks and alcohol and often, particularly, on flat finishes I go over that with a super thin mix of color and an airbrush to soften it up.
  8. Yes, I use plummer putty too, but for real rough work - basic shapes. Milliput is finer grain and and is more workable when hard.
  9. It's a two part expoxy putty for sculpting. You can just order it from Squadron Shops in Texas. http://www.squadron.com/SearchResults.asp?offset=0 works great with water, sands, machines, and is easy to work with for a couple hours before it starts getting too hard. However, that is part of the beauty of milliput, you can work it in different ways as it dries. Get the main shape while it's still soft and add details as it hardens.

    Thanks, why do you say that? Here is mine as it is. The body work is about 90% finish all the way around, and I figured out the Xenon lights.
  12. I am pretty sure the Holden Commodores that are used in V8 Supercars are sedans and not coupes (GTO). It is basically OZ's touring sedan series; furthermore, they are rt hand drive. So that's not an option.

  15. Yeah, I agree with the others. It's probably a decent set up. It does look like it has a moisture trap on the brush - and you do NOT need a tank for a moisture trap, but you should have one with or without a tank. Iwata makes good stuff, and I have never used a tank for airbrushing. Just paint the ###### thing so it doesn't look like it belongs in a beauty parlor.

    Bugatti Royale

    Yeah, I have one, too. Intex boxing. My wife's friend gave it to me. It was kind of a surprise because she didn't know what it was or anything about it, "Just a big model car, do you want it?" I said yes, but figured it was diecast or something. I was shocked when it arrived. Unstarted, complete and in excellent condition. It must have been around a long time because it also came with two spray cans of Pactra paint old old school yellow and red lables.... printed with 35 cents on the cans. I wonder if antique paint is worth anything

    Yeah, that was me. That was the original intent. However, I became impractical to do it that way and have all the bits line up to produce a reasonable result. I had to take my individual parts and work them on the body itself to get it close to right, which is okay. Note the original Eleanor's bodywork was all feathered, and there is only ONE real Eleanor. It's in Jerry's garage - he is afraid to drive it, at least last I known. It is all the copies that have the seams. I am sure no one in there right mind would want to permanently Eleanorize their 67 GT 500 so the Eleanor kits for the real car are stick on junk. What I have considered in lieu of all the parts is a complete body. I just not sure the interest is still there like when the movie first came out. In any event, I am going to finish up all the bodywork before making that decision. It is getting close.
  21. Pierre Scerri's 1/3 scale Ferrari 312PB with working everything: engine, gearbox, shifter, throttle, headlights, ingnition switch, brakes, etc ... It only took 15 years - 20,000 hours to build.
