  1. Nothing boring about it these were some of the best looking drag cars ever. Beautiful build
  2. Season 2 is happening, I asked Scott Taylor and he confirmed Season 2 is happening. The call out system and race dodging is my biggest complaint. I'm sure they can come up with a better system for everyone. I agree with you about #1 he should have ran one more race but I think he was worried about that other car. I definitely enjoyed the show! Now it's time for fastest in America.
  3. Yes we still have some great people who take pride in their work but the bad people outnumber the good a 100 to 1.
  4. That couldn't be said any better. Very few of the younger generation and some older people as well cares that much and just making do is ok. Trades are becoming a thing of the past especially since schools are taking auto shop, wood working and metal shop out. It's not looking good for this country in the not so distant future.
  5. Snake I got to meet Scott Taylor and Bobby Ducote this past Saturday. They were here at my hometown track racing. They seem to be very nice guys who will actually take the time to talk and show their cars. Scott Taylor has a new camaro being built. Here is a video (not mine) you will have to skip towards the end to see them race.
  6. Exactly and that's why I didn't mind spending the extra money for it.
  7. After being angry for a few days over the hacked up welding this is the way I decided to go.
  8. Al that is absolutely beautiful
  9. I saw that clip and wondered about that myself. Most likely JJ would have to lose to Chucky and Tricia would have to beat Cantu and it's doubtful that happens without a return callout on atleast one of them.
  10. Same on my end Gary.. I enjoy trading and talking with you... I'm sure we'll do it again.
  11. I believe you are correct, I think chief accepted for him.
  12. Axman did exactly what he accused chief of and he knew he was doing it, Cantu is guilty of doing the same thing he fought Brian Davis for. Ryan Martin has definitely climbed more spots than anyone else unfortunately I'm not sure he can get to #1.. Top 10 for Tricia is gonna be tough for sure.
  13. Nope , I would have taken my business somewhere else if he would have been honest and said he wasn't capable of doing the job.
  14. It turned out beautifully.. Nice job
  15. It's much cheaper for me to have it fixed than to replace or I'd have definitely taken that option.
  16. I was very angry with the so called welding and automatically assumed it probably leaks. He called law enforcement after a heated argument and the officer told me I can pay or refuse to pay and leave the tank. You are correct I should have asked to see some work but I thought the guy seemed reputable but your never to old to learn a lesson.
  17. The price he quoted was actually about the same as other shops I contacted, all were within $30 from each other. I chose him because he said he had done 100's of fuel sumps.
  18. Absolutely amazing at what some people will try passing off on others. Hate to hear about your bad luck and your right if you want that car fixed the right way you'll most likely need to do it. About 20 years ago I was working for my oldest uncle in his body shop. He had a friend in poor health unable to work and the guys daughter was working to take care of him, well she has a wreck one afternoon on her way home from work. My uncle towed the car to his shop to fix it at no charge, one day while working on it he tells me to get it ready for a new floor pan and I say to my uncle " your never gonna see that floor pan and your doing this out of your own pocket don't worry about the pan" my uncle looks at me and says " when this car leaves my shop it has my name on it and I'll be d@mned if it leaves here like that" Guys like that are few and far between anymore.
  19. I've gotta take this tank to another shop so it can be welded properly. I agree..
  20. Some people just don't care about pride at all, it's all about making a fast dollar with no concern about their reputation. I spoke with a guy at a local radiator shop about cleaning a fuel tank and welding a fuel sump on, the guy tells me he has done 100's of sumps so no problem and says $165 will cover everything. I get a call yesterday afternoon to come pick up my tank and this is what I see when I got there. Tacked in a few places then poorly soldered over. After a very heated argument and him calling the police I basically was told pay or don't pay and leave my tank.. Just for curiosity I put water in to see how much it would leak and it leaks badly..I could NEVER let anything like that leave my shop with my name and reputation on it.
  21. I've tried boiling water on a badly warped resin and it worked out ok but I definitely wouldn't try it on anything vintage. A hairdryer works good but you've gotta be careful with it also, don't ask me how I know ?
