I found another set on Ebay and when I opend the package there were two sets in there. If you want my extra set let me know. I have no use for it.

Got the urge to finish something and find this lurking in the stash. Body was actually painted and decaled in 2009. Had to do the decals twice as the side decal was all one piece and it wrinkled badly. Stripped it down and painted the white on second time around. Cut the Hot Wheel graphics away and applied them seperately. Still has to clear coat the whole car which I don't usually do over decals. Color is Gunze HH15 airbrushed. Chassis on these Revell kits are quite detailed. Added engine wiring and a few other detail. Made the wheels poseable which is one of my pet peeves. This car was driven to two Trans Am championships in a row by Jack Baldwin in 1991-92. Lots of detail painting here, note the chrome exhaust pipe tip made from antenna tubing. The office where all the action takes place. Note the two small pins in each of the body lower corners. This is #28 guage wire drilled through the body into the chassis. This was necessary to keep the body on and keep it aligned.

Very nice build, great detail work on the body and engine.

Very Nice build. This picture was taken in 2007 at the International Ferrari Club meeting in Corning NY. Did you use this for reference or is it a coincedence.

John...you won't regret it. The fit and finish on this kit is amazing. A joy to build and add to my collection. One of their better ones. You also have the option of doing it several ways as I understand there are now many aftermarket decals available.

Dave...the Martini livery is my favorite. I have a whole section of my display case devoted to this marque...over 60 pieces.

Nice build, luv the colour and decals, well done

Completed a few days ago. Painted Tamiya TS-100 semi-gloss silver back in January. All box stock with a lot of attention to detail. Needed to get this done in time for a show. Note the 1/64 diecast. This one a Hot Wheels. Many cars in my collection have a matching 1/64 diecastTaillights were several pieces and very fussy Thought I would include a comparison to the Fujimi I built in 2016. Both are GT3 but some major changes. The Martini is the previous car this one is based on.

Nice job on a very detailed kit. Inspired to finish one of mine.

Gary...the CF did come with the kit and it was indeed a challenge. The front piece wrapped around the chassis and looked like wrinkle city. But some solvent, heat and a lot of patience and it all laid out smooth. Note the caption under the 1rst pic. Thanks...it was easy

A recent completion. Another one for the 1/20 F-1 case. This is Tamiya's 1/20 Red Bull RB6. This is the car that took Sebastion Vettel to his first world championship. Color is Tamiya TS89 Pearl Blue. Kit is all box stock. Many many decals and this took the longest part of this build. The nose in particular was quite troublesome. Tamiay TS-47 Chrome Yellow was a close match for the yellow but not when they were laid side by side. Had to do some major touch up on the nose to get it to look right. In retrospect i should have cut the two bulls away from the decal and painted all the yellow. Would have saved me some trouble. I normally paint the graphics rather than use large decals as they tend to wrinkle. And this kit was a decal nightmare as it was. Wheels are Alclad hi shine aluminium. Overall I am pleased with he result. The Red Bull paint scheme is rather striking. Comments welcome. Thanks...Rich Seat belts came with the kit.

Very Impressive build. Carbon fibre work is outsatnding. Great job Chris.

TS-85 was formulated to reproduce this color. I have used that in combination with TS-74 clear red over Pactra Antique Gold. Did it on a La Ferrari to see how it looked and it wasn't quite what i wanted for the F1 car. It was a nice red though. On line pictures of the real car don't really show the color good enough. I am told it is a pearlescent red. Pearlescents use a silver base and it is difficult under clear red. I am still trying to make myself happy on this color. Thanks for the compliments

Great build, lots of attention to detail. I built all of these including this one. Its a cool collection worth doing well.

I built this kit in 1970 when it was an IMC kit. I have it again as a Union and have been thinking of re-visiting it. I did my IMC Chaparral over again and it turned out way better 45yrs later. I will follow your build with interest. Thanks for posting it.

Very nice job on a difficult kit to do. I have this kit in my collection and am now inspired to build it. I have many, many Ferrari's in my collection, all but two of them are red.

Hah....I did sand the tires but the debris was unintentional. Once you sand the rubber tire it attracts dust and dirt like a magnet. Despite my best efforts to keep them clean some still remained.
-
Thank you Gary, one of the main reasons I wanted to do this conversion instead of a kit was for the Tamiya engine.
-
Thanks for the compliment. That is one of the kits I looked at before settling on this.
-
Sure do....probably in about a month. Got something else on the bench now.

Had this kit banging around in my collection for a long time before I found a !/20 Williams that was suitable for the conversion. Body isd a Bill Jorgensen resin conversion and the decals are IndyCals. Adapting the engine to the tub was the most tedious as it required much grinding and carving. Front suspension has re-worked coil over shocks and a new lower mounting point. Paint is Tamiya TS14 gloss black. Kit supplied the tires, rear wheels, engine and driver figure. In my opinion this was one of the best looking F-1 cars. Its a shame somebody like Tamiya never made a kit of it. I looked at a couple resin kits of this car but this one was the best.
-
Excellent build. Did a couple myself. These are great kits and you certainly did it justice.
-
Indeed they were....I have a special way of attaching them.

Thanks Bruce....I was amazed at how many there were. A lot of fussy fiddling to get them all on and straight looking.
