Airbrush compressor

50 psi from the compressor to the APR should be fine as I don't think you airbrush with more than 30 psi, correct? -

Didn't see this before I placed my order but, will definately keep that in mind before painting the body. I think the .2 should handle the engine which is the largest part beside the body and yes, there seems to be a ton of parts for the G44 which makes me happy. -
Airbrush compressor

Well, after looking at my air compressor which has a Q/D for the hose, it also has a hose connected to the back with a bicycle hose connected and a shut-off valve. The fitting is a 1/4" where it connects to the tank. So, I disconnected the bicycle hose and put a 1/4"-1/8" adaptor on and connected a 6' airbrush hose to it. I then ordered from TCP Global an air pressure regulator. The regulator has a 1/4" inlet so, I had to buy another 1/4"-1/8"adaptor to go from the airbrush hose to the inlet of the APR. That takes care of the air compressor and air supply. I ordered a 10' airbrush hose and an 1/8" Q/D for my airbrush so, hopefully I'm good to go. The only issue I see is the air pressure from the compressor to the APR. I was looking for specs on the hose but, couldn't find anything that told me how much pressure the hose will hold. I am planning on running 75 psi from the compressor to the APR and scaling it down to 20 psi or so for the airbrush. If anyone knows how many PSI these airbrush hoses to hold, please let me know so, hopefully I can avoid any accidents. -
Of course the interior was comfortable. It was Corintian leather and Ricado Mantelban recommends it.

Only one I've actually finished in a fairly long while.

AMT/ERTL 64.5 Mustang 1/16 scale
martin9428 replied to martin9428's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You went all out. I really like the job you did and details. Very interesting hood. Did it come from another kit? and modified to fit the Mustang? -
It has been about 25 years since I seriously took the time to build and detail a model. The large scale will allow me some lee way as far as detail goes, with aging eyes and minimal supplies. This is a "3 in 1" kit and I've decided on the grey Street Rod, (middle picture on the cover)with possible bits from the other two builds but, not sure. I'll figure it out as I go. I like the tires on the red "Show car" but, not sure what I want to do with the rear yet. First step was the frame and the front grill. I'm still trying to decide if I want to do a light aluminum wash on the front or just leave it flat black. This was the first kit I have built with a frame that wasn't one piece and getting the frame square was challeging and hopefully It is square. It does seem to sit flat so, hopefully I have it square and level. I do know that I want to have as little crome as possible so, I will test stripping the crome on some sprue pieces. If all goes well, I will strip the pieces I don't want to be chrome and repaint them. I remember my dad's 50 Oldsmobile which had very little to no chrome. I will continue to add to this post as I move ahead. I will say that it will be slow going as I'm learning and watching other post for information. Thank you and I hope you enjoy following along

It could be a little loud but, for the little bit of painting I'll be doing and the money saved, I'll live with it if it works. -

The sides were just what we had at the moment but, agree, I would have went with a green veggie and maybe a mushroom gravy. It was my wifes first time eating Pheasant. -

I grew up on mussles and love them. Unfortunately I get deathly sick on them now, don't know why but, tried them three times just to make sure and each time got sick. -

I like this scale as my old eyes can see it and the details aren't so fine that I can't detail.

Anyone try using automotive window tint film?
martin9428 replied to Jon Cole's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you decide to use window film, make sure you wet the window good with water first so you can position the film, then use a peice of credit card of something soft as a squeegie and push out from the middle to the glass edge. If you don't use water, the film will stick and you'll get air bubbles and wrinkles. Don't ask how I figured this out. -
