  1. I have been wanting the Tamiya Ford GT kit. I have been watching build videos and was amazed at the quality and fit of the kit. Looks like it's going to be a pleasure to build.
  2. It looks like Q standing over 007's car
  3. I had a great time at the car and model show today and picked up the newly released Tamiya Ford GT kit and the AMT Munster Koach which still has the cardboard back drop, both at great prices
  4. Nice job. I do believe there is a Dr. Smith model. Did your kit come with him? https://www.ebay.com/i/283345272564?chn=ps
  5. I feel that if a person looks at a model(not the builder) and says what great work; it looks as if a professional built it, means it is a professional build. Not the modelers opinion UNLESS he/she works in a professional capacity such as movie props ect. I worked as a hardwood floor installer and refinisher for 25 years, I was a customer stain guy and although I was good at it, I would have never called myself a professional because, I was still learning everyday. I was however very good at what I did. So, self-imposed professionalism is more of an ego thing as, opposed to someone telling you it was a professional job.
  6. The Tamiya kit seems nice as well and in watching some videos, there doesn't seem to be the fit issues you had with this kit.
  7. I love this kit. I may have to pick one up. Do you know whether they have PE parts or aftermarket parts for this kit?
  8. Sloooow going. Added a few pieces and now have so paint touch up. Still working on the front steering. I'm having to go slow as the front drums turn and pivot as well as turn left and right with the steering wheel. Many moving parts and this is the first time I've built a model with so many moving parts. Sorry but, the picture is slightly blurry.
  9. I'm working a a Rod also except mine is a Bucket. Looking good and following
  10. I've seen vehicles like this in some of the small seaside villages in Italy as the streets are so narrow. The villages were so small in fact that supply trucks had to park outside town and one or two vehicles at a time could come down into town and delivery supplies. These vehicles were perfect for these small villages
  11. As I am just getting back into modelling after 20+ years, my list is easy. I have one, a 1964-1/2 mustand in 1:12 scale. Even back in the day, I never really was one to collect models or have a stock pile of kits. I mainly bought a kit and built it.
  12. I make Chix Parm and substituted the chicken for Pheasant so, I guess it was Pheasant Parm.
  13. That's awesome Chris. I just picked up a 64 1/2 Mustang that I started building 25 years ago and lost in a move. I wish I could find the Mako Trike from when I was a kid.
  14. very nice
  15. Welcome from a fellow Yankee now living in Virginia. I'm also getting back into modelling after 25 years. Like you, I'm also building my supplies and just bought my first airbrush.
  16. Found these notes, not sure if it will help http://www.modelersite.com/May2012/English/Austin-healey_eng.htm
  17. I thought Peter was the keyboardist
  18. I remember as a kid, Mobil was giving out paper kites with the Pegasus on it. I remember cutting rags in strips for the tail. I flew that thing until I lost it in a tree.
  19. Awesome work, by the way. I'm envious of you guys who can do diaramas and scratch build or modify models. I'm lucky to get a decent OOB build, that I wouldn't mind displaying. Maybe my current build will do the job, although there are some issues already.
  20. Make sure it's a Stratocaster with a Whammy bar. LOL
  21. For some reason, I expected to see Frank Zappa
  22. Looks like a Corvette
