Hi Jerry! The chute activation cable is pure twisted silver beading wire in very small size, that I bought at Michael's, a well known craft store. It is semi-rigid, and therefore keeps its shape once you position it. It also takes any radius bend fairly well. The chute release handle & spring was scratch-built out of Plastruct. It is routed along the roll cage rear support bars, goes tru the floor panel, and emerges to reach the chute mounting plate, that one being fixed to the push-bar. Hence, it does not interfere with body removal. That's the best way to go for me, otherwise removing the body becomes a chore... here are a few pics. Enjoy. Hi Jim! Promising start. I'll follow on your build. I'm finishing a Pro-Touring version of this kit, in Coupe form. I've opened everything (doors, trunk, etc.), and building door jambs for the suicide doors got me to realize the car has different measurements on both sides (!?!). I've not verified if the same is true with the convertible version, of which I have one in my stash. I guess it has to do with the mastering process back then, since this is VERY old tooling. That may explain the problems outiled by Alan in the post above. Anyways... Just to entertain you: here's a mash-up of your body with the AMT Ford Probe greenhouse, along the style of Ford's FortyNine concept car. Hours of fun with styrene. CT

Hi Mattias! Thanks for the comments. This Eldo is actually a rear wheel drive (!)... cause the Johan floorpan-chassis was just poor on details. So, I mashed a 66 Riviera chassis/floorpan with the Johan Eldo engine, modified the tunnel... and Voilà! A RWD "experimental" Elodrado. Raised a lot of eyebrows at shows, but got a few trophies. CT

Hi! Thank you Ismo, much appreciated! To your question, there is more indeed... But the pictures I haven't taken yet... There is: a 1958 Hemi 'Cuda muscle car (obviously a fantasy), a 69 1/2 (?!) ZR1 powered Camaro Pro-Touring with a tilting front-end/doors unit + hatch back rear trunk, and a Surf Shop shortened Dodge Caravan open-air top van. I also built a fantasy 1938 Lincoln SUV out of the Lindberg Vantastic. Here are the pix, that I forgot this morning. Cheers! CT

Hi! I've built this kit when I was a teen (in the 60's). Cool project. ter The drag version on the pictures was a fiberglass "clone" of the actual show car. I saw the real one in advanced state of disrepair in a fair, in Lake George NY in the early 70's. Sad encounter... CT
