  1. I'm also interested in a 328, but at that price, jeez. there is stuff out there I want more then a Ferrari 328 at that price
  2. They appear to be a cromed steel wheel, with some sort of small hubcap in the middle. the AMT 1966 T-bird has cromed steel wheels sorta like that in the kit
  3. anyone know if the North Central West Virginia scale modelers will have a show this year in November. I can't find any info about it anywhere. but they say they will have a MODCON VIII on there site.
  4. looks great Izzy, I just started polishing mine yesterday, I noticed that your going to attach the front and rear fascia's after painting, I attached mine before. I don't have the instructions so I don't know how Monogram suggested how to do it, but in test fitting I noticed that the chassis can be slid into place during final assembly with the fascia's attached. plus, for some unknown reason I can not get light color paint to match body panels during the painting process. so I attached them before paint and primer.
  5. interesting question, i've had a resin Johan B-body Mopar chassis sitting in my attic since 2003. its from R&R and I only used the body, and not the chassis, so the chassis got thrown into a parts box and forgotten about. over the past 3 years it had held it shape. my attic does'nt get very hot but it gets alot hotter then the rest of the house.
  6. thanks for the nice comments. I shot some Clear on it today, and i'm going out of town tommarow for a week so it will have perfect curing time. should have some updates next week when it progresses more
  7. If you ever take the backlot tour at Universal Studios Hollywood you will see a sun beaten 308 from Magnum PI, of course the vehicle next to it may attracks more attention, the Death Mobile from Animal House. which the sun has taken its toll on that as far as the 308 kit goes, my decision to build the Monogram kit was an easy one. I picked it up for $2 Mint In Box at a local Flea Market. I've always wanted to build a 308, but never really looked into what kit was the nicest. I guess I got lucky.
  8. This is early progress on Monograms excellent but very basic 308 GTB kit. painted Cobra Colors Lamborgini Verde Miura. and an attempt to replicate Ferrari's Verde Germoglio. I still need to clear it. which should happen tonight. Here's a good pic. of the car i'm replicating and here's my build so far.
  9. I need to make "The Trip: out to Wal-Mart one of these days. closest Wal-Mart is about a good 25 minute drive from me. and it sucks, no new kits, (The only $6.00 kits they have are the 66 T-bird and the 57 T-bird,) there in the process of remodeling and the place is a mess, I hate going there, and is right next to a Hobby Shop so I usually spend money there, and then dicide not to go to Wal-mart when i'm out there. The Good Wal-mart is a good 35 minute drive on a good day. They had some of the Gremlins and Pinto's, I almost bought a Gremlin but did'nt, I'm happy I did'nt then. i'd rather build my own then try to strip and repaint a prebuilt one. There building a new one about 10 miles from me. but that won't open for at least another year. Target ownes the area I live in. there's at least 6-7 stores in a 25 mile radius. compared to 1 Wal-Mart. off course I can't say anything bad about Target, i've been an employee there since January and they keep my hobby well funded  I need to get another one of those 65 Chevelle wagons, I've been wanting to build a 65 Lemans wagon for a few years,
  10. geez, I can take a computer apart and back together, but I never knew about that shortcut, thanks, Bill that worked perfecty
  11. I like the new look, one thing though, can you guys make the text a little bit bigger, even my 21 year old eyes have to squint to read the posts.
  12. looks great Izzy, I really need to finish mine. I'm not a big Corvette fan but I like the Z06
  13. anyone know anything close to this color, this is a very rare Ferrari color called Verde Germoglio. I'm planning on building a Monogram 308 in this color. I thought maybe Lamborgini Verde Miura might be close. but the Lambo color is a bit lighter i'll prohibably just end up using the Lamborgini color since its close enough, I just want to know if there is anything out there that maybe closer
  14. I wonder how this one looks today, they went into overtime with this one (Its called overtime). spent alot of time on the paint. this is prohibably the nicest Overaulin car the've done yet
  15. can you polish out Alcad II crome over an enamal base. I just shot some and got a lttle bit of orange peel
  16. wow, another legend. this place is becoming a museum, not a message board
  17. I guess i'm also one of the younger ones, i'm 21 Since everyone else is doing it, look what you could own the year I was Born
  18. here are some you tube links to Top Gears review of both cars. be sure to watch what "the Stig" does to the Koenigsegg at the end of his lap. it aint pretty The Zonda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THgK5BRyYPE...%20Gear%20Zonda The Koenigsegg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Clap740gX2c...ar%20Koenigsegg
  19. did'nt realize yu'nze wanted full name, I've updated mine
  20. here's mine, the 67 Impala in on my bench now this is a 50, although mine will be a 49 still unsure what color this will be, but i'm liking this green,
  21. I also agree with Bob and Khart, the problem with that board is that its an old style. very old in fact. if you want to look at old progress of the model there is almost no way to do that unless they have a Fotki account. which most don't I can understand his reasoning why he keeps it, he wants to be able to allow new people to post. but it brings in more trolls then anyone else, also, it does'nt block against SPAM posters who have been putting up useless information recently
  22. I am also a former "there" person, but I no longer will post "there", too much BS "There". and I now post here
  23. anyone have any info on this show on October 7-8 in Toledo Ohio.
  24. Slixx does, its based off the current show car. not the 1966 version
  25. I really like that, looks like its easy to do from the Johan kit, the Dub City Cobra has those wheels
