  1. WOW Great job Daniel, I really like what you have accomplished here and in the smaller scale on top of it. Impressive!
  2. This was the initial plan, kind of a Super Gas / Super Comp car using around a 32x16x15 rear tire, 4 link and strut front end. That would require somewhere in the 1000hp range (easily doable with a 632 inch single four barrel engine) but --- The ex-racer in me has pointed out there is a tunnel ram sitting on the shelf in a box behind me and the plan already has quite a bit of tire. So ------ Add a bottle or two and a few nozzles, and the frame isn't really started, adding some extra bars isn't a huge deal. Here we go again!
  3. This is the starting point, likely the only major kit parts that will be used are the body, front and rear bumpers, tail lamp assemblies and rear lower valance
  4. Thank you Barry, this one took nowhere near as long as the Royal Canadian but it became way more than first intended. It was supposed to be a wind down model after the last two, but it just got out of hand somewhere LOL.
  5. Thank you, John, but after finishing the model I don't think I can afford the Nitro. Glad you liked it.
  6. Thank you so much Daniel! Your Vega looks fantastic throughout. The next big project is a ways off, but I have a couple of smaller projects that I'm going to put the finishing touches on while I'm waiting for parts. They will show up here shortly.
  7. Thank you Marcos, coming from you that means a lot!
  8. Thank you Lee I appreciate it.
  9. A couple of small details to touch up but here it is
  10. Thanks Francis yes so far I'm pretty happy with the graphics, I figuredI you would pick up on the maple leaf. I really hope the body works as well. The decal paper should arrive today and I can start wrapping this one up.
  11. The car looks great Daniel, all of the details are there and as I said before " the car just looks RIGHT" very well done my friend!
  12. Chassis now waiting for the body and decals to be completed
  13. Thanks for the comments Bob, glad you're enjoying it. More details coming soon and the bulk of the paint is on.
  14. Assembly continues, brake and fuel shut off lever, steering wheel and wiring throttle pedal, fuel pump mounted seat belts in
  15. Thank you, David. For the kind words, still some details to add. Not much progress this weekend. Still tuning up the new digs, with the main bathroom getting a makeover that required some unforeseen plumbing.
  16. The car is looking great, and is very believable. Every so often it all comes together and a model looks "Just right" stance, color and details play a part but there is something more. You seem to have captured that feeling in the model.
  17. I use silver coated/plated aluminum jewelry wire. It comes in rolls in these sizes .015, .020, .025, and .032" I use .025 for the upper hard lines and .06o OD copper tube for the fittings on the distribution block. I got mine from Michaels here in Canada but most box hobby craft stores should carry something similar. I can't remember what I paid but I have what is probably a lifetime supply for under $30.00 CDN BTY Thank you for the kind words.
  18. As does your Vega Daniel, thanks for the kind words.
  19. Thank you Bob, I'm just trying to give this one a bit of attitude as an active racer.
  20. Thank you very much Marcos for the kind words, coming from you that means a lot. Just looked at your Pro Mod post it looks fantastic!
  21. Thanks Barry, lots of little pieces and details to clean up but it is progressing steadily.
  22. Amazing model Marcos, the design, detail and execution speaks to your talents. Very well done my friend!
  23. The chassis is starting to come together, a fair amount left to do, but getting there.
  24. Drag chute assembly and release cables ready for install. Remove before flight flags will be attached as one of the last items on the car.
  25. The car is looking great! Love the name and where it came from. The altered is going to be Psychotic Reaction.
