  1. The injector looks good, not sure on the length and I can't remember ever seeing one in real life but if there is a difference it's a minor deal and I personally would not make the change. Nice job on this one.
  2. Some more progress, this is where the rack is being mounted, the two support bar have been installed, just have to finish the brackets, also the start of a McAmis style carbon fiber tunnel kit.
  3. Well done Stephen, the body looks great. Nicely done!
  4. Paul it is great to see things going together, it also give some indication of the shear size of this undertaking. You have my un-dyeing respect for your skills and tackling this project. I will be watching your progress with great interest, looking forward to more updates. Very well done indeed!
  5. An increadable model, the amount of detail included is staggering. Every where I look in the photos I see individual works of art and engineering as well as superb machining skills. The look and feel of the model are 100 percent true to how someone like Tim McAmis would build the real car. I am so glad you are presenting this build here and it is a privilege to be able to watch your progress.
  6. Thanks Dave, I'm fairly sure they were trying for Hugger Orange (Carousel Red for the Pontiac guys) and yes Orange with Black stripes is certainly being considered, although I've seen a couple of Red's that would look good. I have not really thought too much about the color scheme yet.
  7. Rad mounting points installed in lower main rails, rad can now slip in and out as required. Rad is mounted very high to lessen vapor locks in the cooling system but still allows the hood to close but just barely
  8. I like the injector choice it seems to suit the overall concept and it's not just another Enderle hat. The dzus idea is inspired and I may have to steal it. Probably the most complete solution to these fasteners that I have seen to date. You keep raising the bar, well done.
  9. Rad supports designed and fabricated, First half of two part rack brackets roughed out. Rad supports slide into tubes in the chassis and are removable for servicing as per original.
  10. Thank you very much Tim, still a lot more spaghetti to add to this dish but I am getting there.
  11. Thank you Francis, there has been a delay on the floor install at the restaurant so I have managed some progress.
  12. Thank you very much Daniel, I'm really enjoying your dragster project especially your aluminum body processes.
  13. Thank you Marcos I feel the same on you Camaro project.
  14. Merry Christmas Tim and looking forward to a much improved New Year for us all.
  15. Another great update Daniel. I enjoyed the discussion regarding the Sherline and Unimat, as mentioned cost is an object but they open so many opportunities for model building it's hard not to take a serious look at obtaining one of them. I have just acquired a resin 3D printer for the shop. Very steep learning curve and the parts produced are not metal but it does promise the chance of not having to wait for and pay money to FedEx for simple detail parts for one off projects.
  16. Great job on the front suspension and struts, I'm looking forward to your next update.
  17. Mike this is a great model and a very ambitious project. Good to see another Canadian modeler hitting it out of the park, well done!
  18. Wishbone fabricated and installed to check clearances, temporary four link bars still in use for set up only, rear end set in place temporarily to check drive line angles (silver tube in center of the car front the crank centerline to the pinion. MVI_0138[2].MOV
  19. Great work Francis, I hope you have a great Christmas and a productive New Year!
  20. Another good update, the cowl is looking as it should and I like the tip with the scissors. I know you'll get the wheel deal handled.
  21. You a slacker? Not a chance, I am amazed by your productivity on all of your projects especially when your quality is never affected. I have been in a bit of a groove lately but that stops tomorrow. I am involved in a new restaurant project that we hope to open Jan 1/23 so tomorrow I'm off to work on the interior trim (stainless and polished aluminum) and the main cashier kiosk. Apparently being an assistant manager involves more than just standing around. LOL So this photo is about as far as it's going to go at least for the next little while. Unless I can steal a little me time here and there.
  22. Front upper bars are in, allowing the supports for the front motor plate and upper strut mounts to be added
  23. This weekends progress, the body is now pinned in place on the chassis (still removable) rear suspension has been trial fitted, and ride height, stance and driveline alignment has been checked with representation of the 33 inch slicks. Rear motor plate is mounted.
