  1. The seat looks fine, I've done a couple with painted details. However I suggest for your next project you check out ProTechs seat belt sets. Easy to assemble and the results can be very good with little effort. PM me and I'll send you some more information and a sample photo.
  2. Thank you Daniel, given the quality of you builds it means a lot!
  3. Thank you very much Paul, but I'm still learning this brass deal and I'm absolutely sure you have this handled, your project is simply mind bending, and besides, I'd need a bigger bench. LOL
  4. Actually, now that it's on the blower the proportions look correct.
  5. Next bit of progress, scratch built B&M Powerglide shifter and mounting
  6. Thank you very much Francis, but this style of car emerged around the time I stepped back from racing to focus on our family and business. Luckily I have friends here in town that still build and campaign both Top Sportsman and Pro Mod cars. At my request they have been putting me through "High Horsepower Door Cars 101" Be careful what you wish for, I had no idea how out of date I was when it comes to suspensions, engines and electronics. The basics are the same but technology marches on.
  7. The injector looks good, not sure on the length and I can't remember ever seeing one in real life but if there is a difference it's a minor deal and I personally would not make the change. Nice job on this one.
  8. Some more progress, this is where the rack is being mounted, the two support bar have been installed, just have to finish the brackets, also the start of a McAmis style carbon fiber tunnel kit.
  9. Well done Stephen, the body looks great. Nicely done!
  10. Paul it is great to see things going together, it also give some indication of the shear size of this undertaking. You have my un-dyeing respect for your skills and tackling this project. I will be watching your progress with great interest, looking forward to more updates. Very well done indeed!
  11. An increadable model, the amount of detail included is staggering. Every where I look in the photos I see individual works of art and engineering as well as superb machining skills. The look and feel of the model are 100 percent true to how someone like Tim McAmis would build the real car. I am so glad you are presenting this build here and it is a privilege to be able to watch your progress.
  12. Thanks Dave, I'm fairly sure they were trying for Hugger Orange (Carousel Red for the Pontiac guys) and yes Orange with Black stripes is certainly being considered, although I've seen a couple of Red's that would look good. I have not really thought too much about the color scheme yet.
  13. Rad mounting points installed in lower main rails, rad can now slip in and out as required. Rad is mounted very high to lessen vapor locks in the cooling system but still allows the hood to close but just barely
  14. I like the injector choice it seems to suit the overall concept and it's not just another Enderle hat. The dzus idea is inspired and I may have to steal it. Probably the most complete solution to these fasteners that I have seen to date. You keep raising the bar, well done.
  15. Rad supports designed and fabricated, First half of two part rack brackets roughed out. Rad supports slide into tubes in the chassis and are removable for servicing as per original.
  16. Thank you very much Tim, still a lot more spaghetti to add to this dish but I am getting there.
  17. Thank you Francis, there has been a delay on the floor install at the restaurant so I have managed some progress.
  18. Thank you very much Daniel, I'm really enjoying your dragster project especially your aluminum body processes.
  19. Thank you Marcos I feel the same on you Camaro project.
  20. Merry Christmas Tim and looking forward to a much improved New Year for us all.
  21. Another great update Daniel. I enjoyed the discussion regarding the Sherline and Unimat, as mentioned cost is an object but they open so many opportunities for model building it's hard not to take a serious look at obtaining one of them. I have just acquired a resin 3D printer for the shop. Very steep learning curve and the parts produced are not metal but it does promise the chance of not having to wait for and pay money to FedEx for simple detail parts for one off projects.
  22. Great job on the front suspension and struts, I'm looking forward to your next update.
  23. Mike this is a great model and a very ambitious project. Good to see another Canadian modeler hitting it out of the park, well done!
