  1. Amazing model Marcos, the design, detail and execution speaks to your talents. Very well done my friend!
  2. The chassis is starting to come together, a fair amount left to do, but getting there.
  3. Drag chute assembly and release cables ready for install. Remove before flight flags will be attached as one of the last items on the car.
  4. The car is looking great! Love the name and where it came from. The altered is going to be Psychotic Reaction.
  5. Thanks Daniel, Using the RB Motion's banjo fittings on the piano wire is ideal.
  6. Injector hat ready to put on the engine. I got the hat from Nick Bradshaw (great product) but everything else is scratch built
  7. Some of the engine details finished. Please note that the engine does not look brand new I am adding some weathering to the model to make it appear to be used but not abused.
  8. Thank you for the kind words Bob. I thought it might be of some interest how a clean sheet phantom design could be evolved using real world design criteria. My aim was this could be a real car, it just isn't. I'm doing this one for fun with none of the attendant stress and pressures that come from building replicas of real cars, still putting in a fair amount of detail just not obsessing over it.
  9. Painting and assembly now underway, although it does not show well in the photo the wing is Pearl White with gold leaf lettering (Slixx)
  10. Electronics suite and instrument panel being wired and set in place
  11. Thanks Daniel, but the blue hat will be back but on a different project with a much more appropriate paint scheme.
  12. Thank you. Stephen here is a picture of some progress on the injector
  13. Both of the scoops you have made look very good but the second one is the more typical style found at the local track or points meets where we normally saw Super Gas run.
  14. The body is really starting to come together, well done
  15. Sorry to hear this. The Carpal tunnel is normally not a big deal, both myself and my wife have had the surgery. She was back to work the next day typing, but I was about a week and a half before I could do anything significant, but some use of the hand pretty much from the second day, and just under a month back to close to normal. The nerve thing I have no experience with. Here's hoping for your speedy recovery, keep us informed.
  16. Changing the injector hat, this one goes better with the final vision of the car.
  17. Thanks Danial, I like this one too, but it really does not go with the intended color scheme. It is actually for another build with a very distinct color scheme, think 7up.
  18. Thank you Randy for the kind words. There is a ways to go yet on this one.
  19. Good morning Daniel. The monster tach is looking great and will be a great addition. Just my opinion on the scoop is that it is some what atypical. Back in the day most Super Gas racers bought commercially available scoops from the likes of A&A or Morosso, The snorkel style scoops tended to be straight and not drooped as yours is (which if my memory serves me correctly a couple of Pro Stock teams did try). The A&A scoops were two piece, base and top, with various length tops available that just screwed on. A&A also offered a base with a 7 degree upward slant to keep the top level on cars that had a nose down stance. This was my personal favorite and the one I used on my Mustang ll in 77/78. The shape and size of your scoop looks good and would be fine on the model, and it is obviously well built, It is just a little high dollar for the theme of the car, but if your guy had deep pockets, why not.
  20. Minor update Mag wired and installed, headers showing run patina finish. Fuel tank ready to plumb
  21. You really have my attention with this one, I have been an Injected Nitro Funny Car fan ever since they ran in the original NHRA Pro Comp category back in the 70's. I did an A/FC model about a year and a half ago. I will definitely be following this project; it looks like it's off to a very good start.
  22. Great to see you back Francis. Thank you for the kind words. Glad to hear that there is a next subject in the offing, you have been missed!
