Seems just a little bit unfair to pigeonhole him as a resto mod type builder My favorite builds from him were the decidedly non restomod style.

Black wheels look great.... on beaters. And fleet vehicles. I'm fine with large diameter wheels BUT the fake bead lock thing can go away any time.

Well it’s finally announced.?

An 18 year old platform is being discontinued? In a day and age where an 8 year product cycle is considered long? Color me shocked. ? And don't be afraid of Chrysler going all EV any time soon, seeing as how Stellantis has just sunk a few billion into the new Hurricane internal combustion engine. Be more worried about the proliferation of more Fiat platforms and parts. That's not just for Jeeps anymore if the new Dodge Hornet is any indicator. Although that DS might make a fine Chrysler with a little badge engineering. -
Looks great. I also have to ask what's the story with all those Avantis off to the side?

At Walmart (at least one store)

Yes. It is basically a stock Pinto with the Popper stuff optional. -

My local Walmart has them. Two weeks ago on a cardboard island and now they're on a shelf. I picked up the Popper Pinto and regretted it once I got home and opened it. ? I might go back for the 69 Torino Cobra. We'll see. Or maybe I should just take up my buddy's offer to go to Dean's. Been too long since I built anything and I don't think the Pintos gonna spark the inspiration. ? -
I just got this kit, the first model I bought in about eight years. I don't think it will signal my return to building. ? Ya dis a bang up job on this. It looks great, even greater when you consider what you started with!

I drove a 93 XL for 13 years and it never looked that nice. ? I have all the AMT 9th gen F150 kits, maybe someday I'll build at least a couple of them. -
Mr. Ross said that more than once, it was his catch phrase. ? Your model is a good representation of how most of these looked by 1985 or so.

Looked ok to me but what do I know. ? I remember building the Lincoln MKVIII LSC years ago, same kit with a shrunken Lincoln body, and I recall it being "a fun one" if you know what i mean.
