  1. Quick paint question, what do you thin your paint with? Etc..
  2. Thanks all.. yes that is the Desoto from the 53.
  3. Got some paint on, I decanted the paint, but it was so thin straight from the can that I had to spray a coat from the can for the airbrush paint to cover. Wife said I had to show this...
  4. Thanks, we need more builds with fenders Thanks, I had the roadster body and a bunch of 29 parts, thought it would make a cool mix... Med dark... all I have at the moment and the sun is out so I'm getting ready to go spray..
  5. OK, another quick update. Have the frame cleaned up for new cross members, got the body in primer, and I have an engine! Also seats from an AMT 58 Chevy will fit just right. Color?? Maybe BLUE. Thats all for now, will be back.
  6. Hey, thanks a million guy's, just the info I was looking for.
  7. Are the custom wheel covers based on a full scale cover ? Thanks
  8. My best guess would be Miami Cream,
  9. Looks like a plan, I'm working on one right now with a Y block also..
  10. One of my favorites, will tag along..
  11. Just an early mock-up, not real sure where it will go. RM 32 Roadster body, Revell 29 cowl, AMT 29 fender unit..
  12. Color looks good on that car. Like the step by step posts.
  13. Although I really like this kit, and it is very basic, the warping problem just spoils it for me. Even after I straightened the chassis it has returned to left wheel doing a wheelie..
  14. The chassis is pretty much generic, mine was warped real bad but I got it close to straight, right now this build is on hold while I figure out if I can get the warp out of the front fender unit.. Other than that its pretty straight forward as far as building.
  15. Well, in my case it has led to ALOT of unfinished stuff!! That by the way I just got rid of...
  16. Great start.. if you want to part with that bubble top shoot me a PM...
  17. Like the engine, pullys look great.
  18. Well, we are not that cold, but for the last four days, when looking out the window all I can see is 10 feet out!! Very miserable stuff..
  19. With windshields I like to use a small bit of tape to hold it in place, then I use either epoxy or white glue.. There are glues made just for clear parts also. HTH
  20. Hey Bill, see this post, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/159728-mpc-57-chevy/ it explains what I did, Thanks Robert
  21. Sharp drag car, well done.
  22. Thanks Capt.
  23. Thanks... Having no other stalled projects really frees up the time to spend on just one.
  24. Been thinking about getting one of these, what does it have for drag parts? Engine is looking good..
  25. Just this week I got rid of 30 years worth of kits, parts, projects, etc. Loaded it all up in the truck and went to the local flea market, pit a sign on the truck bed, FREE just take it all...walked over to the drug store and 20 minutes later it was gone, what a relief!! No more distractions to deal with. So I.m starting over fresh with a new kit, will be OOB except for a couple of changes. And here it is after 4 days, not bad for me, I usually take four days to figure what I'm doing. Thanks for looking..
