*Ford FD-100 Pickup*
Painted Black replied to Zippi's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Agree...the more kits the better -
I started building models in 1968, built my first 1:1 in 1975, a 64 Olds Cutlass with a Buick wildcat engine, after that went to Fords and never looked back. First Ford was a 57 f100 with 390/ toploader combo, then I built a 67 Mustang coupe with a sideoiler/toploader, then worked in a Mustang restoration shop restoring Mustangs And Shelbys. next build was a 64 Galaxie R code clone, a 69 Torino coupe, and a bunch more ....currently have a 63 F100 Uni, Later

Those tires are real short, would look good on a small car, like a Corvair..

Both colors would look good, I like the blue, but if I chose to go green, I'd do a met. green.

Painted Black replied to Paul Payne's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have not counted lately, but in the ballpark of 150 with the oldest being built in 1986. None finished yet for 2021. -

My bad, for some reason I thought you were airbrushing. So, and its a big so, if warming a spray can makes it spray better, what would cooling the can do?? Just a thought!! -

I think instead of changing, I would try some practice with air pressure and distance before changing. Just before you think you've sprayed enough stop and let cure for the recommended time.\, then shoot the next coat.. HTH -

I bet that turns some heads out on the lake... -
Well sorta, the front axle is so small in dia. that the ends keep sagging, I'm going to rebuild it with some alum. tubing just as soon as I can get to the store. The engine is complete and I've started doing the foil work. Will post update when I get these problems worked out.
