  1. Frank Zappa??
  2. Your weathering looks great, I'd go with a spotless white interior with the same red dash and accents.
  3. Thanks Paul, some good stuff there..
  4. Chop looks right on,
  5. That is a good looking color for this car. keep on keepin on..
  6. OH yeah, I really like this, super nice build.
  7. Cool, just waiting on the scale anti-freeze..
  8. Yes, the actual kit has to have been released before 67, BUT!! will use parts from those kits that have been rereleased.. would most likely have trouble finding "original" parts. That flathead in the pic is from the 40 kit, I'm still early into this, so it might change. But I have decided that I want it to appear as though it was built back then, might even try my handle at a corduroy interior!! Bill, thanks. Been following your build..
  9. I built my first model in the summer of 67 at the age of 10, pretty much been at it ever since, never had one beat me, and since my 34 altered is whipping my back-side I decided to start another project. This is based on the Monogram 33, the plan is to build it like it would have been built in the early 60's using only kits available pre 1967, so here is what I have so far, and lets hope I don't have two failures in a row.. P.S. any suggestions on speed parts from kits that fit the pre 67 date will be greatly welcome. Thanks
  10. The Japanese one is crazy....
  11. Thanks, what threw me is one is 1/24 and the other 1/25. So I'm guessing the Monogram came first which would be 1/24.
  12. Are these two the same car from the same mold?
  13. Hey,, if your check engine light comes on it "game over" So say's Mr. Ice T
  14. Dang... I can't even prep the parts in 24hrs!! So the El Camino is on wheels in the last picture, you building it at the same time??
  15. Interior looks good, some well placed floor mats would hide those injector pin circles.
  16. Man that is spot on, really like the faded plexi-glass. BUT.... Mr. Horsepower is going the wrong way
  17. That new wheel setup looks perfect.
  18. Small update, this build has been stalled for sometime simply because I could not find a seat that looked right, most were to small or too large, but I think I may have it, ?? Seat is from the AMT 33 Willy's And just so it's clear, the FE will stay.. Thanks for looking.
  19. Good to hear about the chassis, waiting on an update.
  20. That really has the look, looking forward to the finished build.
  21. Working on this same kit right now, looks like you have a nice firewall, mine was missing so I found something close and made it fit. Will you be using the original chassis?
