  1. Carl, this IS the right look..it has been stripped three times already and I'm just looking to get it done. But, I'm not letting Earl paint any more of my cars
  2. That is really neat, my eyes would go crossed doing that.
  3. This is one of those builds you could paint a hundred times, and it still wouldn't turn out right. So it has ended up as this, my version of Ole Earls $29.99 jobs, of course its been a year since Earl painted it . Stay tuned, more to come..
  4. Hey Bob, engine is looking good, rotors look good, what color will it be? I'm building this same kit right now, and it is a really easy build with things fitting so well. Will be watching...
  5. I had to quit watching TV!!! Every time Joe Namath, or any other old geezer came on selling stuff I almost throw stuff at the set.. and then the other day I see Ric Flare, man I thought he was gone along time ago!! So, I quit watching TV period, and life is so much more layed back....
  6. Bob, to be completely honest, it looks like the coating they use for bed liners, I would strip and spray again using a wetter paint. https://www.micromark.com/Acrylicos-Vallejo-Airbrush-Flow-Improver-200-ml-6-76-liquid-oz This stuff really helps.
  7. See ya'll sometime around November.....just need a break...
  8. That is Jellybean looking the other way, Mercedes in the middle and Capri in my lap. They love to ride. Oh, they are Shi Tzu
  9. Glad it worked out, Where did you get the resin hood? Looks like it might be for a 1/24 55!!??
  10. Think I would cut the scoop from the resin hood and graft it into the stock hood..
  11. I'm watching...looks very interesting. Here is some eye candy from my favorite you tube channel...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whxjknYDhfE United by Trucks....
  12. I managed to get some paint on my Mustang. Custom mix enamels.. And I also miscalculated the front stance, but will leave it
  13. In my opinion those SEGA cars DO NOT truly reflect true gassers!! To many "liberties" taken in the name of safety. Depending on what time period of gasser your talking as to what they looked like. This is an Early gasser From the GK web site.
  14. Looks real good to me, tires and all.
  15. I've not seen a smooth one on real semi's, can you post an image of one? I searched and could not find any, I did see covers made for them.
  16. Sorry, my bad!! Didn't say anyone was "promoting putty" just offering a different solution...
  17. Instead of putty, why not glue a piece of thin styrene to the part and then shape to match?
