  1. Awesome stuff, would like to see the pads
  2. Really, me too, I thought this was a good thread
  3. Really like the simple colors scheme, klassy, but, bad to the bone...
  4. Very nice, looks good in yellow
  5. I have to ask, why can't they make lacquer color paint dry glossy and not have to use clear? I hate using clear,
  6. Kool kar...
  7. THAT is a sharp little 289, well done.
  8. Really sharp, may have to buy that kit just for the American 200's,
  9. When dressed the same telling a 352 from a 427 is diffucult unless you know what to look for, and since I don't know off any kits with a 427 that has the cross bolts molded in. I guess it all depends on just how accurate you want. I would build it with the 352 myself just to be different!! Look forward to the finished build.
  10. Any way you can enlarge the bird emblem on the front fender? could be a clue, but not a postive as to what it has under the hood, could be a 406. never know.. if it was running D/Stock, it most likely was not a 427. check out a rule book for the year, it could help..
  11. I don't recommend paper towels. I wrapped some a few years ago, and when I pulled them out the paper had left a lace pattern in the paint. Can't say why, just know it did.
  12. I think that the flat hood was standard and the scooped hood was an option. So that hood is correct.
  13. I always used Boyds clear, but I also use Future with good results.
  14. Alcohol will not touch enamels, the OP said Tamiya was the paint on his build. I use Easy Off for enamels, for lac's its alcohol. * http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/4255-so-whats-the-best-recipe-for-stripping-tamiya-paint/
  15. Zip, pretty sure this would remove the paint as well. I strip all lac paint with 91 alcohol...
  16. Looks good, hang in there, being on a forum has the power to make folks rush there builds sometimes, I know it does me.
  17. Very small update, got the body painted, and started the foil, but its not sticking to good, will proceed with the build in hopes BMF will fix there stuff...
  18. Nice choice of parts, I have one along these lines here, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/160673-63-plymouth/?tab=comments#comment-2385990 Really need to pull it out from the back and get started on finishing it. Will be tagging alone on this one RRR
