  1. Well like I really need another project on the bench!! I do need a tow/pusher for my rail that I'm building, this will more than likely be a long term build, so stay tuned.
  2. Pretty much any color would work, I'd go with blue as the main color with white trim. or vice versus. you really can't go wrong.
  3. It works for me too..
  4. Since it is a hot rod the black floor looks perfect, although you could paint it red and be very patriotic ?
  5. I'll go back to horse and buggy before I'd buy EV!!
  6. Thanks, but its still not out of the woods yet
  7. Mike, yeah. I used tape to outline the trim and then just went at it, doing the really thin stuff on the doors and fenders will test my shakey hands... Thanks
  8. That is a sharp blue Bob, interior color is perfect..
  9. This started out being a drag car, things just were not going right for it, so I've decided to build it here as a street rod with a new set of plans....
  10. I've decided to build this as a street/hotrod, Will post in the correct place.
  11. So I made my mind up to try the pen on the side trim, if it worked great, if it didn't I'd strip it , shave the trim and repaint. It came out fair, the edges are sorta ragged up close, I'll finish the rest and make my choice.
  12. Mike, I've been using BMF since 1989, have done over 150 cars, it;s not a user problem, its a product problem. I for one enjoy trimming a model with BMF, but the stuff has changed, it doesn't stick, it too thick, etc. I truly hope they can get the problem fixed.
  13. Don't feel to bad, I was trying to foil mine http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/159728-mpc-57-chevy/ yesterday and pretty much just stuffed in back in the box. I'll dig it out at some point and try again. You could try a little alcohol and try removing the ink. Good luck hope ya get it straightened out.
  14. Cool stuff ,Thanks
  15. No wax till after the BMF, always over gloss paint. The other day I was getting ready to strip a body that I had foiled several years ago, the BMF would not come off even with masking tape burnished on to it. The stuff used to be great.
  16. Calling this engine done..
  17. A big parts box.
  18. Thanks Scott, lets hope I can. I decided to change from the scoop to V stacks. whata ya'll think? Also noticed that on the roof area a bit of gray primer showing thru, so I think I'm going to respray the top, was thinking maybe white with yellow stripes??
  19. That will look great once you have it all detailed up.
