Bob, if your talking about #5, its the magneto. This is the same basic generic engine MPC used in the 57 Chevy gasser and others.

Thanks Dave, never thought to look at slot cars. Getting pretty close at an ID, the Kemtrons look to be built with the same style. On to google again!

Thanks guys, I agree with all the comments. I don't really intend to use it, just something to tinker with during modelers block. Will just put it on display in the model room.

Looking to ID this motor I've had kicking around for 30 years, Cleaned it up but there are no markings on it. It measure appx 1 1/4 wide x 1 1/2 long. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated .Thanks

Your right Mark, but they have 8 slots. NOT the same as your wheel above.

Those "Hand" wheels are also in the MPC 57 Chevy gasser. Same as yours? Not sure!!

To be repainted, just didn't like the way it looked. Paint was thin in areas and just not one of my better paint jobs.

We have 3 Shih Tzu,

Tried to trim this with the pen, it went south bad. Got it in 91 right now, will also be doing a color change, I've just got too many blue builds already. I also have to redo the rear wheels, when I put them together I made them just a tad to wide and they rub the inside of the body, just have to split them and take off a bit. Will be back on track soon.

Ok, this one is in the stripper, will be back when its repainted.
