  1. David , check your private messages for my S&H conversion.
  2. Thanks, Jim. Well that's good to know. There might be fit issues if the die cast body was used. I once bought a resin impala body that I'm pretty sure was made from a diecast and if you compare it to the revell kit impala body its noticeably bigger. I had to use a 1/24 scale kit for the chassis for it. I did that build before the snap kit revells came out.
  3. Did they cast that body from a diecast body?
  4. Yeah, I had no problem, its just the added hassle of adding the silver or aluminum to block the bleed through is never fun.
  5. Wow, Looks like a lot of work. But I bet it was worth it. Sadly, there are no nnl's in south east texas. Awesome collection you have there, Tim.
  6. Man, I wished I had waited now.
  7. Was the body made in blue plastic or red like the S&H kit had it?
  8. Great job mating body to chassis. Excellent build as usual . Starsky and Hutch kit by any chance?
  9. Excellent paint as usual. Going to keep this one a secret till the end? I haven't got a clue.
  10. You can see why they needed to add a lot more stands to Michigan back in the day. Now the new stands are mostly empty. Texas World was just like Michigan, but it never came close to a sellout. Never got a good weather date. Either too cold in December or way too hot in late june.
  11. Thanks for the info. I have a really old 65 chevy kit that I have plans for. Your build is giving me a lot of inspiration.
  12. Awesome build. What kit did you start with? Like the overall look of the model. The stance is just right. Super clean as well.
  13. Very clean. Excellent stance. Outstanding build.
  14. Do you know the reason for the red stripes? Possibly a team car painted the same way and they needed a way to tell them apart? Things like this peak my interest. Again , Awesome job on this build.
  15. Tony, You should be very proud how it turned out. Super clean and beautiful build.
  16. Make sure you either paint the letters white or flip the tire over and use some tire decals from that era. If the letters are raised on the other side sand them off and use decals and then dullcote them so they don't peel off in the future.
  17. You haven't lost your touch, Terry. Looking really good.
  18. Awesome transformation, Tim. Great work being done here.
  19. Awesome job, Tim. Up to your usual top flite standards. Thought there would be a finished thread for this but everybody will eventually see the end result. Again, Beautiful job on the Monte.
  20. There is no way I could make contengencies for a 1/64 scale car. Let alone numbers and sponsors. That's why I have never attempted it.
