  1. Whats cool about the arca fords is that the car run in 2018 has 2013 nascar grille, headlights, and taillights.
  2. Snappers are a lot easier. But I still use glue to assemble them. Also you have to do some mods to the body to get them to look right.
  3. Thanks, David. Sadly there are no Ollies where I live.
  4. Thanks, Clint. I hope I got it some what correct and you got to show it to your father. This was basically the only picture I had to go by.
  5. Thanks, Jim and Bruce.
  6. Thanks, Johnny and Ricky. I really appreciate the replies.
  7. Thanks, Tim. I really appreciate the feedback.
  8. Thanks, John. You have made me an enamel believer. Thanks, Bruce. Appreciate the feed back.
  9. After 187.5 hours, its finally finished. Freddy campaigned this car back in 1973. Its kind of a compilation of a few of his cars, from that time, because I did not have complete ref pics to go by. I chose this one because it seems to have had chrome rims, and chrome door numbers. My inspiration for this build is that I saw Freddy compete back in 1973 at Houston's Meyer Speedway, and he dominated the events the night, I was there. I know he was in a 65 Chevelle, but I cant remember the color, or number of the car he drove that night. Maybe it was this one. I mean it was 45 years ago. If you want to see how the build came together and better shots of the interior click on this link>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://www.shorttrackmodels.com/index.php?topic=955.0

  12. 1967 was the year he won 27 races. That's why I wanted to do this build.

Super nice clean build. Too bad revell couldn't have made the shark fin 2 pieces, like the real car. I know , I'm splitting hairs a little here. You could never get the trunk open with that shark fin.
  17. Looking Awesome. Cant wait to see the finished model. I have a left over chevy snapper from that year, but the driver I was going to do, is no longer a driver I have any respect for, so I don't know what I'm going to use it for now.
  18. I am so happy you are sharing this wip with us. We will all be able to learn a lot, from the master, and the final result, I'm sure, will be astounding.
  19. Looks like a lot of work. But great work. Very nice collection.
