Thanks, Tim. I think I have a Richard Petty Talladega kit that is a polar lights kit that I could use. Also what is the difference between a 66 and 67 Fairlane if any?
Great transformation of a stock kit into a nascar racer. I would like to do a 66 Fairlane. Have you ever done one of those? I would like to see how the frame was done on them.
That should do it then. Sometimes you have to flex the tires to get the wheels to pop into place and if they are not sealed down good they could come off on your finger tip. I always decal my tires after they are installed to the wheels. Of course I always decal the body after the model is finished. Just to be safe.
There is something very small above the dogs tail. It may not be on the sheet. There was an oval shaped wix decal that was kind of small back then, that was yellow that it could have been, but that is a pure guess.
Here are my guesses. In front of the dogs nose would be Monroe. behind his tail would be the oval shaped champion. Next to that would be Pure. below the pure would be Solder Seal and below Solder Seal would be Perfect Circle.
Awesome work, Jason. It will be nice to see a vintage Nascar racer come together, and see it to completion. You have all the inspiration you need, in knowing, David Pearson piloted it, and what he meant to the sport.
Excellently beautiful John, as always. The silver is perfect in its uniformity. That's the way I wanted my Chevelle to look but didn't quite work out that way for me. You are a true master at model painting.
Awesome job, Dustin. Detailing, paint, decal work all top notch and the main thing is you fixed the stance very nicely. These cars look so much better low and fast looking with the tires sucked under the fenders, Again excellent build.
