  1. Thanks, Tim. That was one model I always wanted to do. Earnhardt's first cup win car.
  2. I used the Revell snap kit "Wheels of fire Monte Carlo" body witjh an AMT early 90's nascar kit for the chassis to build this one.
  3. The rear bumper looks too extended to me. With paint on it, will probably not be that noticeable.
  4. Nice clean build, Ed. Using the clear on the white body was a great idea. Decal work looks great too.
  5. Jason, check your private messages.
  6. Looks perfect , Tony. Cleanliness of build , paint and decals. All top notch.
  7. That should do it then. Sometimes you have to flex the tires to get the wheels to pop into place and if they are not sealed down good they could come off on your finger tip. I always decal my tires after they are installed to the wheels. Of course I always decal the body after the model is finished. Just to be safe.
  8. Looking awesome Ryan. Just be careful installing tires to wheels. Those decals might get damaged.
  9. Looking Awesome, Ed. Looking forward to more updates.
  10. There is something very small above the dogs tail. It may not be on the sheet. There was an oval shaped wix decal that was kind of small back then, that was yellow that it could have been, but that is a pure guess.
  11. Here are my guesses. In front of the dogs nose would be Monroe. behind his tail would be the oval shaped champion. Next to that would be Pure. below the pure would be Solder Seal and below Solder Seal would be Perfect Circle.
  12. Really nice added details for authenticity. This one is going to be really special.
  13. Great job on the two tone, Tim. This one is going to be awesome when finished.
  14. Awesome work, Jason. It will be nice to see a vintage Nascar racer come together, and see it to completion. You have all the inspiration you need, in knowing, David Pearson piloted it, and what he meant to the sport.
  15. Excellently beautiful John, as always. The silver is perfect in its uniformity. That's the way I wanted my Chevelle to look but didn't quite work out that way for me. You are a true master at model painting.
  16. Very clean and beautiful build , Dustin. Also some excellent detail work on the chassis and interior.
  17. Excellent job, Bruce. Paint, decals, stance. All top notch. Also like your large picture format so you can see the model up close and personal.
  18. Awesome job on both, Neil. Especially like the McMurray car.
  19. Excellent job , Jim. As usual.
  20. Awesome job, Dustin. Detailing, paint, decal work all top notch and the main thing is you fixed the stance very nicely. These cars look so much better low and fast looking with the tires sucked under the fenders, Again excellent build.
  21. You know me. I love fantasy builds. Great job.
  22. My point is that it wasn't out in the wind, hail, rain, snow, or sleet. I have no idea how that model with 2 other models got put in a paper bag back then. I guess I thought I was through with modeling cars, but didn't want to throw them away. I'm glad I found them because they are old mpc kits, and if they were in boxes that had never been opened, they would be worth over 250 bucks each now. I'm going to deconstruct them and rebuild them as if they were new kits. They really were pretty good engineered kits that fit well put together. I'm looking forward to completing them.
  23. The decals on that old build up above, was in a paper bag for 40 years, in an air conditioned house, but they still turned yellow.
