  1. Thanks for the picture of the paint, Hawk. I definitely want to try them.
  2. Hawk couid you post a picture of the type of rustoleum you use? I would like to try it but want to get the right kind.
  3. I forgot to do the fairings for the rear bumper. The rear bumper also has to be shortened front to rear which I have already done. It sticks out way too far if you dont shorten it fore and aft. The length is ok. Did some more work on the chassis trying to get it to fit to the body.
  4. Your welcome, Carl.
  5. While researching this build I found that if you use a precolored body, the color of the body will bleed through to the final color coats. This body was red. The fix is to sandwich metallic silver between primer coats. I used Duplicolor universal metallic silver. Alot of you guys already know this but some of you like me may not have known it. The model would have had a pinkish hue if I had not done this step.
  6. Heck yeah, Steven. These are fun to build.
  7. Thanks Michael.
  8. Added some bars to the cage and started fixing the rear fenders
  9. Super clean beautiful build.
  10. Great job on both making the base kit look a whole lot better.
  11. Super nice build.
  12. Got the dash and rear foundation installed. Also filled in the rear wheel openings that will be covered with paper thin styrene to get rid of the lines on the openings.
  13. Looking forward to seeing them, Neil.
  14. You have to cut the windshield and backglass out exactly. Its very tedious work. I need to lower the dash just a bit more to get the windshield to fit.
  15. Thanks Carl.
  16. Thanks John.
  17. I think what happened was I showed how to fix the body to look more like the real cars and the guys who just want to paint and decal did not like that so they gave me critical replies on the finished build. I will still post over there because 2 or three of the guys over there like my builds and I'm not going to let the others run me off. That's what they want.
  18. Had to scratchbuild my own seat. The one in the thunderbird kit wasn't right for this build.
  19. Another beauty, O.C.
  20. Got the sides of the cage finished except for some putty to shore up the gaps where it was pieced together. The piece of styrene rod you see is to hold the side in the right place while the glue drys it wont be there on the finished model. The primed body shows all the places that need more putty. Im hoping a few more coats of primer will stop the red from bleeding through on the final color coats.
  21. Thanks, J.C.
