  1. That's the way I remember it and I had one small grainy black and white picture to go by. He and Jack Bowsher were the class of the field back in the first asphalt stock car race I attended back in 1965 at Houston's Meyer Speedway. I think the 64 ford he raced in Daytona that year was yellow for sure.

  4. Thanks guys. I really appreciate the replys.
  5. Beautiful build.
  6. Another beautiful build from your bench O.C.
  7. The rivets are painted using the tip of a toothpick sharpened to a very fine point. I also used aluminum metallizer paint because it flows and drys quickly.
  8. Bruce, the body is the Powerslide 2013 Chevy SS resin body purchased from Mike's decals. I also purchased the 2007 Revell Jeff Gordon donor kit from Mike to use to make the chassis. If I had known that the Revell Gen 6 ford snap kit was coming out in September when I started this build back in March I probably would not have bothered to build this model. Hopefully they will also do a Chevy and Toyota.

  11. Excellent build. Details are amazing.
  12. Yes I was able to save it.
  13. Here are the finished wheels and tires. The ppp tires and wheels are just too big for this model. makes it look like an off road vehicle.
  14. Maxx, I used the kit wheels and tires but changed the wheels from 5 lug to 6 lug.
  15. Had an accident with this one. walking by the display case lost my balance fell into it and knocked it to the floor. Body came apart from the frame, Was able to save it.
  16. Thanks guys. I really appreciate the replies
  17. Mike I used the chassis that came with the Sox and Martin kit . I'm not in to using 1990's chassis on 1960's cars like some people like to do.
  18. Norman, here is that picture of the Petty hemi I was talking about. Its a very light blue not petty blue.
