  1. Oops. Double post and I didnt even send it again.
  2. Looks like a flawless build to me!! Excellent job!!
  3. Here's the white primer sanding guide and after I block sanded it off with 2400 paper. Since then I have reprimed it and I'm finally ready to paint. Should I use Tamiya or Duplicolor Black? Thanks for any suggestions.
  4. Excellent as usual Matt!! I love the stance on these. They look fast just standing still.
  5. Super nice build!!
  6. Another excellent build Dave!!
  7. Excellent build Dave!! I was lucky enough to pick up a donor kit of this car at the Modelmania show in Stafford Texas last Saturday. I will use pics of your model as reference pictures for my build. Thanks
  8. Thanks Steven. I think I can picture that.
  9. I will probably never get into casting resin bodies but I was curious where they seperate the mold when making a car body. Is it longitudinally and split from the left side and right side or is it the upper half split from the bottom half. Is there a website that shows doing a model car body?I found some websites showing how to do small items like gears and small figures. I just can't seem to figure how they get the finished model car resin body out of the mold? Just wondering?
  10. Super nice build!!
  11. Incredible detail as always!! Even has gas spillage at the cap. Another awesome build James!!
  12. Excellent build as always James!! Thats the best Laguna model I've seen yet.
  13. Excellent build Tom!! I really like the way the Cot looks and yours looks perfect.
  14. Tom, I saw that car also back in 2000 at their shop but I only took one picture of it. I wasn't building models back then and didn't think to take lot of pictures of it. Do you remember by any chance what color the interior was? Thanks.
  15. I shot the first coat of primer and then found out that the sides were not as flat as the real car or as they call it "slabsided" so I added that to it after the first primer coat. I have alot of detail sanding and more primer coats to come but you can get a good idea how its coming along.
  16. Ready for primer.
  17. I'm going to prime the body today. Here are some pre-primer shots. Here is the car I'm trying to build
  18. Wow!! Excellent so far. Can't wait to see this one finished!!
  19. Super nice build!! Brings back memorys. I owned a 68 GTO. Mine was gold with a black vinyl top. That thing got rubber in 3rd gear with an automatic. Ohhhh, the good old days!!

    1966 Chevelle

I have that flip front kit and I bought the Revell 66 El Camino to get a good chassis like you did with the 67 Chevelle. I was thinking of cutting off the front clip of the El Camino and grafting it on to the 66 Chevelle 2 door hardtop at the firewall. I haven't checked to see if it will work yet and I noticed that one kit is 1:24 and one kit is 1:25 so I hope they will match up. I plan to build Smokey Yunick's Chevelle that Curtis Turner drove. I know there is a Lindberg 66 Chevelle 2 door hardtop kit out there but have not been unable to find one locally. In fact, nobody carries any Lindberg kits around where I live.

Excellent job!! What kit is this?
  22. Great looking build!! Looks just like the photos.
  23. Super nice build!!
  24. Beautiful build so far!! You are right about making the engine look dull. I'll be sure to try that on my next build. By the way ,I probably missed it, but does that big block engine come in the kit?
  25. I totally agree. The Cot car looks alot more like the actual cars on the road compared to the droop nosed anteaters that have been being used for the last few years. The fact that its harder to drive will also make evident who the best drivers are.
