  3. You must do this car!!
  4. Excellent job, Erick!!
  5. Very nice!!
  6. Do what Mick said. You don't have to have a dedicated kit. Like Kyle or not he's the best in the business right now. Maybe he will develop a better personality with age like D.W. did.
  7. Another Awesome build Slim!!
  8. Great start!!

    Very nice fantasy build.
  11. Another great one!!
  12. In a word, Awesome!!
  13. Excellent as always!!
  14. Great job Ron!! Yes they should have called this section "Roundy Round" instead of "Nascars".
  15. Mick, all your builds are absolutely beautiful. And you detail them just right without going overboard with things that can't be seen anyway.
  16. I hear you Slim. If its not a hot rod or a factory stock model you wont get much response in the other 2 sections you mentioned. In fact you probably wont get much response in this section either unless your one of the boys. Unless you build Drag racing cars you wont get much response at the Scale Auto site either. Neither sites members care too much about Stock car racing models. I however think this and all your builds are Awesome !!
  17. Thanks guys. I really appreciate the kind words!!
  18. Excellent job!! It's hard to believe it was a "Quickie build". The way you did the wheels to get the right stance is the only way to really get it right.
  19. Looks incredible!! Did you use testors enamel clear from the small bottle? My only concern is what do you do if you get a little trash in the paint while your putting on all the coats. You know, some dust gets on it during the painting? Sure would be nice not to have to polish anymore.
  20. Another awesome build Slim!! Love those 59's with the huge wings!! Its cool that David Pearson started his career with a Chevy.
  21. Wow, that looks great Slim!!
  22. Thanks Slim. I really appreciate the compliments, especially coming from you, the King of 55 Chevy builds .
  23. Slim, I used a chisel type exacto knife to remove the exhaust pipe ,muffler and tailpipe. When you remove the muffler and parts of the tailpipe it leaves a hole in the chassis. I backed up the holes with small pieces of sheet styrene and then filled in the holes with squadron putty. After it dried I tryed to match the floor details as best I could with various exacto blades. If you look closely at where the muffler was you can see that its not quite the same as the other side. It definitely is the amt chassis. I have an R/M 56 kit but I'm saving it to do Rex White's number X, 56 Chevy. Thanks for the props on the job,but if I had a more close up picture you would see it's not that great. I just could not leave that ugly molded in exhaust even though its a curbside shelfer.
  24. Kind of like the first Chevy to win a Nascar race. I used pictures of the car later in the year to build the model.
  25. Here are some more wip pics.
