  1. I have some, some where. If not I will post the Dodge Buck Baker drove to victory in the 1964 Southern 500. It was the car Junior drove earlier in 1964 before he switched to the #27 Ford.
  2. The painted body. Bmf will take care of the seperation line.
  3. No discouragement, I just do not like resin or paying 40 bucks for something sight unseen. You cannot be sure if everything will fit properly in the kit to the resin body. And its just more fun to do the conversion myself even if its not perfect
  4. Adobe Photodeluxe. It came free with the Astra scanner I bought years ago.
  5. Actually Junior drove the Ray Fox #3 Dodge early in the season before he switched to the #27 Ford in 1964.
  6. I posted them a little out of focus. They are not that fuzzy looking in real life.
  7. Here are the decal sheets. The first is the clear sheet for the white parts of the model. The second is the white sheet for the purple parts of the model. Also on the white sheet to the right are decals for the engine.
  8. Slim, I do not think you would like my decals. They are ink jet printed on testors white paper. you have to cut them out exactly on their edge and then touch up the edge of the decal or a white border will appear around the decal. I wish some one would come up with a printer other than alps that would print with white ink. I could then print on clear paper and feel good about selling my decals.
  9. Great job on both, Slim. I wanted to do Foyt because when I was a kid I filled in for a friend who had a paper route and when I got the papers to deliver he was on the front page of the Houston Chronicle the day after the Firecracker 400. The picture showed him just beating out Issac at the finish line. That photo has always been in my memory banks for some unknown reason. So when I found the old Johan kit i just had to build it.
  10. I got all the decals finished. I just need to paste the decals going on the white parts of the car on to a clear decal sheet and the decals for the purple parts of the car need to go on a white decal sheet. I will post pictures of the sheets when finished.
  11. Where did you purchase the Hudson model?
  12. Great start, Nikko. Especially like the interior.
  13. Great job, Felix. Just curious about the engine placement.
  14. Thanks again , guys.
  15. I got the body finished as far as painting goes. need to take and post pics.
  16. Dominik, The pictures I am using are posted at the top of the thread. There might be some more in my photobucket.
  17. Got the motor painted.
  18. Pics of the beginnings of the powerplant. The big round white air cleaner depicts the Purolator filters they used back then.
  19. Thanks Dr. Cranky. It is very gratifying to recieve a positive comment from such a famous builder as yourself.
  20. Hopefully this is the last primer coat.
  21. Niko, I am going to make my own decals for the model but there is a sheet available for this car. I have seen them on internet searches for this car on google. I do not know how old they are and if they would be brittle. They are only 8 dollars so you would not be out much if they were.
  22. I layed down the first primer coat and the sanding guide coat and sanded it to prepare for the hopefully final primer coat.
  23. I used .010 X .060 styrene strips for the molding then added .025 styrene rod at the bottom edge of the strip to give the molding a more realistic look. I filled in the area where the two moldings meet with squadron white putty. I will make a customline decal to be placed in this area after it is bare metal foiled.
  24. I Need to add the customline trim so first I lay down some narrow tape and mark above the tape with a tinydrill bit. Then with the dividers I transfer the drill marks to the other side of the car I layed the first tape down below where I wanted the moldings. I then remove that tape and install new tape right on top of the drill marks on both sides of the car. I then use a #11 blade to scratch along the bottom edge of the tape on both sides to have a guide to show me where to glue the moldings.
