  1. Chris, you are correct but I e-mailed them and they only have the color for airbrush use. and the cost plus shipping is a lot higher than if I can find the ford color, windveil blue, in duplicolor rattle can locally. It looks like a pretty close match.
  2. Excellent start!! Conor check your P.M. inbox
  3. Someone sent me this picture to work from and I know the car was 1962 Pontiac Ensign blue which is the same color as 1962 Chevrolet Nassau blue, which is pictured below. I'm trying to find a rattle can match to a modern color and I found this picture of a Mustang from Conor1148's signature line. Does anyone know what year the Mustang in the picture is. Does the Mustang and the Chevy look pretty close in color? I thought they did.
  4. I like to build model cars because I like to have miniature versions of real race cars I have seen in the past or would have liked to have seen back then. Its like having a 3-D picture of something rather than an 8X10 glossy on the wall or in a magazine or an image on the internet. I have also heard that working on intricate things as you get older may just help save your mind from succumbing to diseases such as Alzheimers. Plus its just plain fun.
  5. Thanks for reminding us about the signature,George. I would also like to thank you for being such a positive person on the board and making everyone feel welcome.
  6. Thanks George. I finished the decal sheet and who knows, with this long weekend coming up, I might get to finish this project.
  7. Painted the body.
  8. Excellent build!! Great engine detail!!
  9. Excellent job on all of them!! I would not be able to crank out 5 of basically the same car over and over again without going nuts.
  10. Super Nice as always!! Great engine detail.
  11. Excellent job!! Excellent detail on the engine!!
  12. Polished with a sanding stick? Please explain. Looks fantastic!!
  13. They all look fantastic. I like that you made it a popular vote rather than having judges decide.
  14. Very nice.I like the stance.
  15. Excellent job so far!!
  16. Thanks Hondo, Somebody sent me a pretty good picture of the car from a book called Muscle Car Chronicles. Its black and white but I know what color the car is so thats no problem. Thanks for the info.
  17. The finish looks excellent to me. I don't see how it could be any shinier. By the way what kind of paint did you use and clear coat if any?
  18. Hopefully somebody in here has pictures of Don Gay's A/stock 1962 Pontiac Catalina. I used to see this car run at the Dickinson raceway back when I was a kid. I have always wanted to build a model of this car. I was able to pic up the AMT 62 Pontiac Catalina 421 SD kit at a local model car show. I know I will have to purchase the MCW 62 Pontiac 2 door sedan resin body to do the build. I mostly do Nascar models so I have know idea where to search for vintage drag racing pictures. Maybe you guys know of some sites I could go to , to search for them. Thanks
  19. Its great to know that you do this. I was not sure if it was an acceptible way to get the stance right but now I know. Thank you.
  20. Erick, I had my wife pic me up some Super Sculpy today at the local Hobby Lobby. Its not Super Sculpey 3 but it says that it is artist quality whatever that means. I definitely want to bake it in the oven if I ever come up with something presentable. I have never tryed sculpting before but who knows maybe I won't be too bad at it. Thanks again for all your help and if I come up with anything I will e-mail it to you.
  21. Erick, Thank you for the info on the Super Sculpy 3. I have always wanted to try my hand at making figures and this seems like a great product for that. By the way you did a fantastic job creating your figure of Big E. It would be great to see a step by step tutorial on how you go about it. Thanks again!!
  22. Excellent build!! If you want it glossy its not too late for some future, but it looks great just the way it is.
  23. Awesome metallic paint job!!
  24. Excellent build!!
  25. It's not resin but I did extend the nose, change the 1/4 glasses, slab sided the sides and the 1/4 panels and changed the shape of the rear bumper. If you do Rusty's Pontiac you wont have to do any body mods because it was an 89 and I'm pretty sure they made a kit for that one. He was in a Ford by 1995 and the 95 Grand Prix is the only one that wasn't made in kit form. Thanks for the comments 3mens2.
