  1. I haven't got a clue how to weather, so I can't help on that at all.
  2. Or it might just have a rectangular top on it. I might just go that route. It would be easier to fabricate.
  3. On to the oil tank in the trunk area. Its rectangular shaped and I have one fuzzy view of it, so probably not going to be that close.
  4. Finally got the dash finished.
  5. Pierre, you have such a special talent for making everything look so real. Under the hood and the interior of this build are phenomenal.
  6. I was thinking about using the vallejo gloss clear varnish for the glass.
  7. Very nice job on the gold and black. It might have been a little smaller, but 7/8 scale would have made it the size of a compact car. If you look at pictures of the car next to a Fairlane or Belvedere they are about the same length.
  8. Another WOW moment. That engine detailing is through the roof impressive. Looks very real. I forgot to mention how Awesome the seats look.
  9. Comimg along very nicely. What scale is this?
  10. That blue tape is sticky side up to hold the gauges together while I put the epoxy on them. I always use sticky side up tape to hold small parts when I'm working with them.
  11. Had to redo the gauges. I had forgotten that I had bought a better epoxy to use and the jb weld stuff was just too thick to work with.
  12. So glad to see you are back on this one. It's going to be awesome.
  13. I'm rooting for the Hardees car but whatever it is, it will be awesome.
  14. Got more work on the dash done. The rings around the gauges are black so I'm hoping I can fill in the little gaps in the rings. 1/25 scale modeling is so much more intense than 1/24 scale. It's surprising the difference in size when you get down to the little things like gauges.
  15. Jason, I'm sure you can do whatever is necessary to make this build a winner. Who is the team and driver?
  16. Wow, Donato, that Cheetah looks awesome. And to think you made it from a Corvette.
  17. Terry, back in the day.
  18. I realized the dash was not lining up properly with the roll cage, so I had to extend it back somewhat to make it look more like the ref pictures. The key words here are to make it look more like not make it look exactly like the ref pictures. This is true of about everything about this build. I just want to get it in the ballpark. When you modify a stock kit into a race car that's about all you can hope for.
  19. Well I know who I'm rooting for in this race. The #1 Cobra.
  20. Yes, but I would probably be removing a bunch of stuff you don't want removed.
  21. So true. But it's still better than trying to find a rattle can to match the color you need. that's almost impossible.
  22. I'm sure all you guys have figured out what I'm building, so here is the target I'm trying to achieve. Terry's IROC 13 winning Camaro from 1989. This is the car he captured the overall championship with his win at Michigan that year. I have better pictures of the car but they all have copyrighted photo printed on top of them, so I figured I should not post those. The one below is a captured photo from a you tube video of the Michigan race, so that's why it such poor quality.
  23. Surprising how competitive these bricks were but you could see why the next gen thunderbird did so much better when it hit the track. Excellent job on this build, Yoshimi.
  24. Pierre, that's the beauty of brush painting because of the use of dropper bottles and the use of the palate you can get a color very close to what is represented in pictures of the actual car. You just have to hope that the picture you use is accurate and, in this case, I believe you found a very good picture of the car that you built.
