  1. Great job on all of them, but I am really enjoying the 63 Ford.
  2. Had to cut the slots in the seat for the lap belts to go through.
  3. Wow, I thought only stuff like this happened to me. I'm sure you can fix it and it will be the best build you've ever done.
  4. Pierre, will you be putting a prancing horse emblem on the grille?
  5. Wow, now that looks like a Ferrari. So much better.
  6. This is the only reference picture I had for the seat. I'm not even sure it wasn't added by the owner of the 1:1 replica car and not what the real car had, and I'm not even sure if the outer part of the seat continued the diamond pattern. I also think my diamonds might be too big but that's no bigee. I mainly just thought it was a pretty cool seat and I wanted to try to replicate it the best I could hoping the real car from back in the day had one like it.
  7. Thanks for your continued support, Pierre. You will never see me put this much time into a seat again. Thats for sure. I have promised myself an OOB build next except for the tires and wheels that come in the kit. They are just too ridiculous to use. But that won't require any detailing.

Excellent job, Bruce. Very clean and paint and decal work top notch.

Excellent job on the build. If you had put the figure behind the car with a few inches gap you could have gotten away with it but standing next to the build or in front of it will make it look like a giant. Which actually Richard was. A giant among men.
  10. The main part of the seat is finished. I might add a strip between the outer and inner parts of the seat.
  11. Wow, Pierre. That grille looks just like the one you are trying to duplicate. When this is finished no one will think this is an amt kit. It's going to look too good.
  12. Andrew, this detail work you are doing is really top shelf. Keep up the awesome work.
  13. Thanks for dropping by Ricky. I really appreciate your comment on the seat. It helps to get some feedback along the way on these builds.
  14. Thanks, Les for the comment. I really appreciate it.
  15. Finally have all the diamond shapes installed. Just need to take a small file to clear up some of the lines between the diamonds and then sand, prime and paint.
  16. Excellent job, Daniel. You really captured the look of the real car.
  17. Beautifully done, Misha. You should be very proud of this one for sure. I'm with Pierre. Mix up some paint and touch it up with a small brush first. touch up with clear on a brush after that. Future or the stuff that took its place would be perfect for that.
  18. Anything would look better than the nose on the amt model left untouched. It really doesn't look Ferrari-ish at all.
  19. It's great that you have the good kits body for up close comparisons to the AMT body which anyone can see is way off in so many ways from the real car. And it is also great that you are showing us what mods are needed to get the AMT body where it can be used to make a decent model of this car. My main concern is the front of the AMT models nose where the opening to the radiator looks horrible on the AMT./
  20. So true, Pierre. I'm passing a lot of time on this seat. I hope you're right about looking good, but it really won't matter with all the stuff blocking the view of it.
  21. Trudging along. Wondering why I decided to get too ridiculous on the seat. Senior moment, I guess.
  22. Jason, way to resurrect a build to completion. Really like the metallic glints in the paint. Also, the saving of the decals and the foil to just like new status is a job very well done. Another excellent build from your bench and I'm sure you gained much satisfaction in finally completing it.
  23. They look pretty good to me, but like you say, once the models finished it's really hard to see much of the door trim through those really small Hudson side glasses. Engine looks great too.
  24. Got the inner part of the seat finished except for some sanding and adjusting here and there and got back on the outer parts of the seat.
  25. Thanks, Steve and Jason. I thought about just covering the seat in putty and then scribing like you said Jason, but I knew it would end up looking terrible, so that's what led to this. Which will probably look terrible too, but maybe a little more uniform than freehand scribing. But I think I might have bit more off than I can chew, so to speak.
