  1. This is so beyond the normal type of model building it's making my head hurt to even try to think I could do something like this. Amazing work and I am tuned in till the finish which I know will be Awesome.
  2. This model is very weird. the bottom half of the engine is molded into the frame. I had to cut it off so I can build and paint the engine and then return it to the frame after it is painted. Never seen this before. Not going to go crazy on this, just add the correct air cleaner, fix the pulleys and belts, and put some headers on it.
  3. Looking really good, James. I think you have mastered these finnicky decals. Great save on them.
  4. Andrew, really some awesome work you have going on here with the chassis. Interesting that the engine was black on this car. These cars were so simple in design, and it doesn't seem like safety was one of their big concerns back then.
  5. Thanks, Albert. I appreciate the info and looking forward to more of your build and the ultimate completion.
  6. Albert, so glad you're doing this Trackhouse car and good eye realizing for some reason the exhausts were further back on it. Where did you find decals for it?
  7. Don't think its Mikes fault. Have you called him? He would probably be happy to send you another sheet. It's not his fault if Powerslide sold him a bad sheet. Mike is probably the best vendor we have.
  8. Another topnotch build, Dustin. You knocked it out of the park with this one. The added items like the trophy and helmet are also amazing.
  9. Wow, Randy. I don't know how I missed this. Awesome job on the wrap and the build. I can see why you like doing decals. You have a special talent for doing it. Again, Amazing build.
  10. Great job on the frame, Andrew. So, the resin has no memory after you unwarp it, not that it matters once you get the parts attached to it. Great tip on the resin.
  11. Beautiful. The interior is really eye catching.
  12. Wow, Excellent build. Is this a replica of a car that existed or just a beautiful creation from your knowledge of these vehicles? Very clean build and paint looks awesome along with the decal work. I see you have a 65 Fairlane in the making and I am watching that thread with great interest.
  13. Started laying down the reinforcement ribs in the back.
  14. Almost finished with the interior under glass, so to speak. Then I can move on to the roll cage. The way this model goes together, I will be able to display it with body on or off. It appears that the body does not have to be glued to the chassis.
  15. Great save on the orange peel. That's why I brush paint. You don't have to worry about orange peel, blushing or runs, with a bristle brush. And you don't have to clean the airbrush. A job I really hate doing. You have to sand and polish, but you have to do that to an airbrushed model, unless you are a wizard at airbrushing.
  16. Good start, James. Looking forward to following along on your build.
  17. Excellent job re-creating the Yellow Banana , Yoshimi. I had forgotten that Lorenzen had driven the car. Very clean work on this build.
  18. I don't think I would want to wax an enamel paint job until it has fully cured . And that takes a pretty long time. Paint really looks good right now, but you might be able to polish it with some Novus or something like it.
  19. Slowly but surely, step by step, inch by inch.
  20. Very high-quality work going on here, Sebastian. You should be proud of this fine-looking build. Thanks for posting it.
  21. Thanks Donato. Same to you.
