Wow, Excellent build. Is this a replica of a car that existed or just a beautiful creation from your knowledge of these vehicles? Very clean build and paint looks awesome along with the decal work. I see you have a 65 Fairlane in the making and I am watching that thread with great interest.

Almost finished with the interior under glass, so to speak. Then I can move on to the roll cage. The way this model goes together, I will be able to display it with body on or off. It appears that the body does not have to be glued to the chassis.

Great save on the orange peel. That's why I brush paint. You don't have to worry about orange peel, blushing or runs, with a bristle brush. And you don't have to clean the airbrush. A job I really hate doing. You have to sand and polish, but you have to do that to an airbrushed model, unless you are a wizard at airbrushing.

Excellent job re-creating the Yellow Banana , Yoshimi. I had forgotten that Lorenzen had driven the car. Very clean work on this build.

Thanks for the tip on making springs. Now if I can just get my fingers to cooperate. -
Thanks for staying at it. You did a wonderful job. I however hate to do extensive decal work. I guess it's my age and the fact that my dexterity is not much there anymore.

Got some more work done on the interior. Will have to add a driveshaft tunnel and rework the rear foundation of the interior. I have some pretty good interior shots of the real car but i'm not going to go crazy with the detail.

Totally agree with you Roy about harder than ya think. These are definitley not beginners kits.

Started demo on the interior with a sprue cutter. I have a seat and dash from a Nascar model to use for this model.

Finally polished the gloss varnish with novus 2. you can't really see much of a difference, so I think I will skip this step next time.

Needs a couple of rounds of sanding and more coats of paint. I found my stash of alcladII chrome. I remembered how much trouble my old airbrush was giving me so I bought a new Iwata airbrush with the compressor in a kit for 200 bucks from Hob Lob. I want to make sure I get these right. I decided I needed an early Christmas present to myself.
